More Fall tidbits…

I have a few more Fall tidbits to share….

…..before it all goes away next week and the sounds of Ho-Ho-Ho are in the air.

Actually, I am about a week behind in starting my Christmas decorating.

…..but I am really enjoying the Fall.

The chalkboard easel wording has not changed in a while…

…..it pretty much sums up life in this house!

  2. Ratz! I forgot to snag those pumpkins on the coffee table when I was there! :o) All of your fall touches are so pretty, Shirley. You are such an inspiration to me.

  3. Love the fall decor. You start Christmas early. I don’t start till after Thanksgiving and then I am ready to take it all down the day after Christmas.

    Mmmmmm..sigh……just beautiful!

  5. Love all of your “tidbits.” Your have a great collection of ceramic pumpkins. I have the same creamy white one. :) Love it. Those salt and pepper shakers are just too cute. Suzy is so thoughtful. I know you are just chomping at the bit to get started on your Christmas decor. I can’t even think about that right now. I have to survive through Thanksgiving. But then we have one week to get it all done because we go away for a week to Florida and I want it all completed. I can’t wait to see what you come up with this year. I know it will be dynamic! I want to come up for the Tour. :)

  6. BEAUTIFUL as always Shirley! I love the vignette on your bar area, that topiary is beautiful! My head is already spinning with ideas for Christmas too! Have a great week!

  7. Hey, yeah…you’re right! Those ceramic pumpkins in the last few photos are a really cool color! Much softer look. Sounds like you will be joining me in a few days. I have the main floor of the house already started for Christmas, but only because my classes resume here tonight. Of course, everything will change to a “different Christmas” for next week’s class and the week after. THEN I get to start setting up for “real Christmas” around here. There will be much less since I will be recovering from surgery during the Christmas holidays and unable to pack away a ton of stuff afterwards. Anyhooooooo…..for the moment your home is reflecting all the beauty of Fall and looking great!!! Have fun with the Christmas decorating! :-)

Your antique scales are a weighty addition to your fall decor. Can’t wait to see
what heavy Christmas decorations you have to balance! Beautiful eye candy
throughout your home. It’s obvious your home is full of love and happiness!

  9. Love all your “tidbits” of Fall! I am not quite ready to start Christmas, I feel like I just did Fall! But I WILL start before Thanksgiving since I am not having it this year. You are such a beautiful inspiration, every inch of your home is exquisite, Shirley. XO, Pinky

Love all the different colors and materials of your pumpkins, Shirley! The new blue one is a beautiful color. Suzy brought you a lovely gift ~ I love the design on those salt and pepper shakers. I can’t even look at my Fall decor today. It is 76 degrees here, so Christmas is far from my mind right now!

  11. Everything looks great! I made my kids collect acorns with me on Sunday and i did a similar display. They were annoyed though because I rejected all of the ones with no caps :)
    Stacy

  12. All of your vignettes are stunning. I love them all and especially the topiary arrangement on the island. Beautiful. Hugs, Marty

  13. Shirley, I love all of your fall tidbits! You’re making me want more ceramic pumpkins…lol! Hard to believe that you are about to go into Christmas mode; but, I know you have a lot to prepare for. I am sure it will be beauitful, as always!

  14. Beautiful, of course, Shirley! I think the pink heart is my favorite. :-)

  21. It is all so beautiful! I just love glimpses of your stunning home!

  22. You have such a pretty collection of fall decor, Shirley! I bet the pink heart makes you smile every time you see it! Wish we had acorns, the perfect addition to your pretty styling!

  23. It all looks wonderful Shirley! I am eagerly awaiting your Christmas decorating.:-) I used to start before Thanksgiving too…in fact in October.

  24. Shirley, your vignettes are lovely! I love the pink heart form your Granddaughter! The Limoges bowl is stunning with the acorns! The velvet pumpkins are gorgeous! It’s all so pretty! You did a wonderful job on each vignette!

  25. Very pretty Shirley! I can’t believe you’re going to start decorating for Christmas next week! It’s been too hot here to even believe it’s Fall. I couldn’t wait for it to be cold anymore and last night I made chicken stew, which is a Fall favorite in our house. My daughter loves it so much she asks for it in the middle of summer! So sorry I wasn’t able to make it to the blog conference. I would have loved to meet you in person! Still hoping to get up there if only my energy would come back. Hope you’re having a good week.

  26. I enjoy reading your post. Every piece is of thoughtfulness. Pretty flowers and pumpkins are of typical fall theme. Loving all.

  27. Your home is fresh, bright and welcoming. I love your fall decor and especially those velvet pumpkins. I need to make friends with my local pumpkin grower for some stems!

  28. Your fall touches are beautiful! Hope you have time to enjoy them before you start decorating for Christmas.
