Would you like to know one way of how I decorate on a budget?
Other than shopping my house and looking for bargains everywhere I go,
attending estate sales, and scouring bargains at favorite antique shops,
one of my favorite go to places that I love to frequent are
consignment shops . . . and one in particular.
This particular consignment shop juries everything on which they take in to consign.
The quality of each item in the shop is truly amazing.
This shop is rather large … just a part of the shop is shown above.
It has everything from furniture, lamps, rugs, drapery, lighting, artwork
lots of accessories .. and more.
The items are from antique, vintage, and very slightly used.
You will see higher end brands such as Ethan Allen, Chelsea House, Craftique,
Lexington, and more.
I was shopping with my friend Sherri and she bought something that is on
the table above.
Here she is perusing a leather bound book in that gorgeous chinoiserie breakfront.
This was just one of several dining room sets that had “sold” tags on it.
The owner said that sometimes as soon as some furniture hits the floor it is sold.
Very pretty antique chair …. Bamboo and cane … pegs were used vs. screws.
Sherri was on the lookout for artwork for her guest room,
this Monet ‘esque painting was in the running.
Oh, that’s me in the mirror …. mirror, mirror on the wall …. 🙂
There is always a great variety of styles in this shop.
Such as this antique church pew … beautiful quilts and textiles, the list goes on.
This amazing Empire style secretary sold within hours of being placed on the floor.
I often wonder with some of these pieces that they are dealers
snagging fabulous pieces for re-sale.
Lots of different styles … from this Mission style buffet,
(more great pieces of Mission style were in the shop)
to this beautiful Chinoiserie table by Chelsea House.
I love this demilune table….the top is inlaid wood
and if I remember correctly, it was just a little over $100.
You cannot get this quality for the price at HomeGoods!
Here is a great Renoit. This painting is from the Ethan Allen gallery.
Beautifully framed and a great price at just a little over $100.
I bought a few things that day and went back the next day, after some contemplation
of where I would place those items that I was debating about. Luckily they were still there!
And I spy some things looking at these photos and say to myself, I did not notice that.
I may have to make another trip back this week!
I will be showing you the great things and deals we got at this shop.
There was a lot of the Domino Effect going on in this house this past weekend.
Stay tuned and have a beautiful day!!! We will be enjoying some milder temps this week! 🙂
