Decking the Halls

I have been busy decking the halls, but no boughs of holly . . . yet.

I thought that this year I would scale back on the number of trees

that I would decorate for Christmas. However, so far, I have done three

and possibly one more if time allows.

I thought that I would show you some snippets of what I have been doing.

First a peek at the dining room tree.

I am doing something a bit different . . . a real departure

from what I have done in the past in the dining room.

The sunroom tree will be my memory tree this year.

Filled with ornaments that I have collected for decades.

Ornaments made by my son and grandchild and ones gifted to me

by friends and family so dear.

Always a trip down memory lane, especially memories of those no longer with us.

My hubby knows that Christmas is near

when he sees me come home with Cyclamen from the garden center.

I just completed the Great Room tree and I think you can see

how it will be decorated this year.

The tree is completed from top to bottom.

I thought I had misplaced my 115 year old  children’s Christmas book.

I found it among some books that I had stored away and did a happy dance.

Pretty packages under the tree . . . some with messages.

And more “Joy”

I was so happy, and “joyful” when I found these pillows at HomeGoods

while I was in Florida.

There is still a lot of Christmas decorating going on here.

My goal is to have it all done before Thanksgiving so that I can enjoy

all the activities of the season and have time to do some baking!

I wish you all a most joyful day!!!
