The Holiday Dining Room Featuring MacKenzie-Childs

I cannot say enough how head over heels, turning cartwheels across the floor

happy I am with my Holiday Dining Room this year.

It is a bit of a departure for me as it is not in my

usual traditional colors and decor of Christmas.

I gave you a sneak peek a while back showing you a tree with some black and white,

well actually more like black and cream ribbon, that I hand flocked.

The inspiration for the dining room this year began with a tea kettle.

Yes, a tea kettle!

Here is my Holiday Dining Room Featuring MacKenzie-Childs.

A New Sitting Area

A new sitting area was created after I visited my friend Mary Alice

to say good-bye to her home that I loved. And, of course the one she loved too.

We were taking a walk upstairs and I noticed her Sitting/TV viewing room a bit sparse.

She sold much of the furniture in that room,

however, there was one lonely remaining chair.

I stated, “hmmmm, I never noticed this chair before.”

however, no room is ever complete, right?

You have seen so many sneak peeks, so no more sneak peeks today!

Ikea Hack Ritva Drapes

Ikea Ritva drapes hang in the guest room flanking the french doors.

I love the texture of the Ikea Ritva drape. Mine are white and they needed a little punch of color.

Well, if you call black and white a punch of color! 🙂

I purchased some fabric from the On-Line Fabric Store and had my friend Linda add the fabric

as trim.
