Blush in the Guest Room and A Winner

The Guest Room is Blushing? Or is it Bashful?  The Steel Magnolias would know!

Today, there is Blush in the Guest Room and A Winner!

When I was in Florida, a trip to HomeGoods to get something for my sister

yielded several things. A tablecloth that I used in my Floral Friday post,

a quilt for my sister, two pink or should I say blush pillows, and more.

Today, you will see how two pink/blush pillows and more, gave the guest room a bit of a refresh.

Sunroom Refresh with Blue and White and More

Hello everyone! It’s Floral Friday!

I had planned to do something in my dining room for this week’s post;

however, after trip to my favorite Consignment Shop, Always Home in Durham, NC.,

I decided to put that on hold and use my treasures that I found at the shop.

So today, I present a Sunroom Refresh with Blue and White and more.

Guest Room Refresh

While I was eliminating a few large items in the Guest Room,

and doing some general de-cluttering and staging.

I could not help but think if I should refresh the room

with Summer decor? Or should I just do a Guest Room Refresh? Refresh I did.

When packing up some pillows, I kept a pillow aside,

knowing I would use it in one of the rooms for the summer.

A faux grain sack pillow, Summer House.

A Vignette Inspired By A Beautiful Book, My High-Low Project

I love beautiful home decor books.

I came across this book, “Beautiful” by Mark D. Sikes

while reading a review on it by the lovely ladies of Design Chic.

I ordered this book right away and was totally immersed in the magnificent

rooms and decor featured in his  book.

While reading this book, I  came across a vignette on a skirted table

that I knew I could somewhat replicate on a budget, by actually shopping the house.

So I began to collect those items and I created

a vignette inspired by a Beautiful book,  my High Low project.

The Sunroom Refreshed for Spring

I have been refreshing  my rooms from Winter decor to Spring decor.

That is always a fun thing to do as we all love Spring.

I have already Refreshed the Great Room for Spring.

The Sunroom Refreshed for Spring was next on the list.

I had a couple of inspiration pieces to work with.

When I received my new issue of Country Living, it was a no brainer to

go back to HomeGoods and get those pillows that I have had my eye on

and hoping they were still there.

A Decorating Blooper

We all make decorating mistakes … mishaps …

that,  “why did I do that?”  kind of thing.

Well, the other day I featured my little sunroom makeover.

I happened to be looking at the photos in the post and gasped.

A Decorating Blooper ! …..  you know,  just like those shows that feature Bloopers and Blunders?

Well I certainly blooped and blundered.

First, I will you  show you how I corrected my Blooper.

Changes in the Guest Room and it’s Ready for Guests

When I danced to the Furniture Shuffle (again) to add a piece to the sunroom,

there was an empty area in the Guest Room that needed to be filled.

Oh my, I cannot let an empty space stay empty for long!

So I made some changes in the Guest Room and it’s ready for guests.

I Have A Blue Christmas in the Master Bedroom

Whenever I hear Blue Christmas, it reminds me of that song by Elvis.

You know the one, “I’ll Have A Blue Christmas Without You” …

That being said, I have a blue Christmas in the Master Bedroom this year.

I did not use the Winter Birds bedding this year.

I thought I would do something different and I did.
