I began to set the table in the usual area of my dining room, but it was such a beautiful day, I decided, why
not, I will set the table under the pergola. The beautiful day brought the golfers out early.
The pergola during this time of year is rather sparse with color. However, the beauty of the bare branches
against the Carolina Blue Sky is breathtaking. It is an intimate dining area with a table and 4 chairs that I
purchased 7 years ago from one of my favorite places, Summer Classics. It has been out there under the pergola
through rain and snow and has really stood the test of time. I hope you enjoy!
The view from the covered porch area..soon to be my future potting shed area..
The place setting..Dinner plate, my old standby Lenox Butlers Pantry; the salad plate and bowl are Artistic Accents, made in Portugal and purchased from that wonderful place, HomeGoods. The napkins are from Target (on clearance), silverware Gorham, and the stemware is Marquis by Waterford, Brookside.
I placed the stemware on a mirror that I purchased a while back from A.C. Moore. I love using them as coasters as I love the reflection..You can see the beautiful sky and branches from the trees.
Here you can also see the flowers from the centerpiece
The vase by Weller and I sprinkled beach glass from Maine on the tray
Close up of the dinnerware
Another beautiful reflection
At the last minute I added the faux boxwood topiary rounds for fun!
I hope you enjoyed my tablescape..Would love to have your feedback, so feel free to leave a comment!

I know that North Carolina has some absolutely beauttiful days, and it was a great idea to take full advantage. What a beautiful table! I love the green Lenox dinnerware and the topiaries in the bowls. cool idea.
What’s for dinner? This is a very inviting tablescape. I love the idea of the small mirrors for coasters and seeing the blue sky in them. You may think your landscape lacks color but at least your grass is green! Not so, in Colorado. Another beautiful table by Shirley.
Oops! I meant what’s for brunch? Enjoy!
Nothing beats being outside and your table is a perfect complement to outdoor greens. I must say, that’s quite a nice haul of sea glass. We spend a lot of time looking during the summer, but good pieces are few and far between.
Your table setting is beautiful and in a gorgeous location. I love the little nook area set up-some privacy but yet you have the full view. Such a fun place to entertain either with a complete meal or a delicious cup of tea
Another gorgeous table! I absolutely LOVE the dinnerware. I must get some of those topiary balls.
LOVE it! What a pretty view too with all those gorgeous trees. Thanks for sharing with the newbie party.
OMG! First of all the view is awesome. The color scheme is one of my favorites and I love the dinnerware. Don’t you just love Home Goods? I have many mirror pieces but never thought to use them for coasters. Now I have to go out and purchase some small ones. I just love this idea. I too love the reflective quality of mirrors. Love the tree branches, sky and of course the flower reflections. This is as close to perfect as one can get.
Blessings, Ginger
Shirley, what a gorgeous setting! How nice to be able to enjoy the weather outside in January! The china and crystal are just gorgeous; and I love the addition of the boxwoods! What’s for brunch?
Such a wonderful table, Shirley, and a wonderful location too! I LOVE to eat outdoors. My hubby who was born and raised in Wisconsin, just doesn’t “get it” though. Thankfully, he goes along with my outdoor dining “fetish”!
Just gorgeous! I love to eat outdoors also! I love the dishes! Beautiful!
Beautiful Shirley! I LOVE the place settings and the flowers and succulents are perfect! looks like spring!
Stacy
Very pretty table, Shirley! It looks like you had a beautiful day! We’ve had sun but it’s been quite windy here.
Beautiful Brunch table! I love the mix of the pieces and the topiaries! What a pretty day to eat outside.

This is a beautiful table! I love your dishes, and I love the idea of the mirrors as coasters (your picture of it is beautiful). Thanks for sharing! ~Zuni
What a beautiful view you have! Your table is gorgeous, I would spend all morning out there just lingering under the pergola!!!! It is way too cold here for that but we leave for Fl., on Fri. so I hope to eat MANY meals outdoors in the next 2 weeks!!! XO, Pinky
Oh how beautiful Shirley. I can just envision having a wonderful brunch prepared by you on those gorgeous dishes! What a beautiful setting. Love it!!!
Of course I am jealous that you can eat outside! It looks lovely. Love the lines of those dishes, so pretty! The flowers are beautiful!
Looking forward 4 months when we can dine outside again!
Have a good week, S!

Just gorgeous with the green! Isn’t it wonderful having such a mild winter…
Beautiful table overlooking a gorgeous setting!
We are still unable to enjoy outside dining … so thank you for sharing brunch under the pergola with us. I can’t wait for the warmer weather to arrive… xo HHL
Wonderful Table with beautiful dishes in a perfect setting! What could be better? XO Cindy
What a lovely table. I am ready to be eating outside again. Your dishes are lovely. I really like the bowls. Perfect setting for spring.
How beautiful this table al-fresco. I can’t believe the great weather you have at N. Carolina this time of year, it’s like our weather, here in Cuenca-Ecuador, which sometimes, if it doesn’t rain it’s perfect for eating in the yard. Your tablescape is gorgeous, such aqua beatiful dishes, and the love the bowls. Hugs,
FABBY
Your table is beautiful. I love your dishes and the beautiful color of them. The topiaries in the bowls are perfect!!
Beautiful table. I so wish we could be outside already. The warm days we’ve had have been filled with a bit of blowing dust. The colors of your china is soo pretty. Love the setting.. the daffodils are so pretty.. xo marlis
Lucky you to be able to set up outdoors! I miss that so much!!! It has been unseasonably warm here lately (although the bottom fell out of that this morning!!!), but too windy to do anything outside. I love your dinner plates, and the soft colors used here make me long for Spring in the worst kind of way!!! C’mon, Spring!!!!!!!! 🙂 Very pretty!
I am drooling with your setting.
Eating in the pergola is absolutely fantastic and a dream, this time of the year.
Greetings from freezing Stockholm.
