OK..”It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature”…but what about her fooling us..That’s not nice either!!!
One day it was 75 degrees, the trees are budding and everyone is happy….
The next day it is snowing…What’s up with that?
But I love Mother Nature and I forgive her…
…..This is my “Lady”..I pretend she is “Mother Nature”…she could be…
I see her from the window where I have my computer..she makes me smile 🙂
Today was rainy and dreary..unlike yesterday..so my plans for this post went out the window…literally…
I am taking pictures from my upper porch today…these are my window boxes overlooking the backyard…no happy golfers out today…:(
Not even the birds were out on this cold damp day…
I love Cyclamen..
My tea cart…filled it with Spring blooming flowers…Hoping it would tell Mother Nature to hurry it along…
There are about 4 flowers/bulbs in this pot..they all seem to be blooming at the same time..
The canvas that leans on my tea cart originally was a piece of art that hung from a dowel..I removed it from
the dowel and stretched it on a canvas..That was way before I started to blog..coulda had a tutorial…
How can a rose NOT make you happy..
Looking out from the inside….
…….SO HURRY MOTHER NATURE AND SEND SPRING TO US SOON SO I CAN AGAIN ENJOY THIS:
and this…
Last Spring….
And most of all my beloved Mother Nature…my sweet hubby wants you to hurry Spring along so he can enjoy this!….
In his heart he will always be a “Florida Boy” and he wants to ditch his jeans and wear these..give him a break!!!
I am joining the following parties:

You are so funny and I LOL’d at the last pic. My son wears those year round, regardless of the weather. 🙂 For someone who had to resort to plan B, you sure did a great job. Not sure if I have ver told you this or not but your photography work is splendid. You would never know it was a rainy, overcast day. I love your window boxes, and can’t wait to get mine back up again. We took them down last year. Not sure why really. hmmm…. but thanks for giving me a dose of Spring. And thanks for being so supportive and joining my Wild About Mother Nature #2 Party. See you soon, Barb
What a gorgeous backyard you have! Love all the trees!! And, your flowers are beautiful 🙂
No pity parties allowed in North Carolina! LOL It will be over 2 months before I can even think of putting any plants outside. The hard and fast rule in Colorado is AFTER Mother’s Day. The flowers on your patio look beautiful and I am totally jealous. I bought an orchid at Lowe’s yesterday to bring a little bit of spring into my living room. And tell Tom that if Jeff was there he’d definitely be wearing shorts!
I love your little white bench out there in the yard with the pretty bird feeder. Those bulbs are just beautiful. I was looking for some of those yellow daffodils for my front garden, but couldn’t find them anywhere. I must be too late this year. Beautiful flowers, and I love your “Mother Nature”.
Ok, Shirley, I am totally jealous of your flowers right now!! I am determined that I am going to get out this weekend and start on some of mine! Winter, basically, has just skipped over us! But, I’m afraid to put things out too early for fear of a fluke freeze. Your plants are gorgeous!! Enjoy them!!
OK, you got me….I was not expecting the shorts at the end of your post, but they were a perfect ending and gave me an out loud chuckle. You’ve got all the right stuff going to welcome spring. Hope it reaches you soon. BTW, love your lady!
i AM SO JEALOUS THAT YOU CAN HAVE FLOWERS outside NOW! iT IS STILL COLD IN PA. WE HAVE HAD A REAL MILD WINTER BUT IT IS still WINTER HERE. i CAN’T PLANT ANYTHING TIL AFTER APRIL 1. THAT IS EVEN PUSHING IT. XO, PINKY
I’m with you. I’m ready for spring. Your flowers are beautiful.
I can’t wait until I look out my window and see green! It’s been pretty mild, but right now it is snowing. Oh Mother Nature is such a tease. You yard looks lovely and the tea cart filled with Spring blooms just makes me happy. I bought some prim roses today (half price at Walmart, but still had lots of buds). Now I just need some other Spring bloomers to go with them. Been pulling out the capris, hurry up Spring!
Hugs,
Jann
OK, I know it’s rainy and “cold,” BBBBUUUUTTTT with that view, and those bulbs on the porch, and those window boxes in full bloom….all I can say is I’m jealous, and from Ohio it “don’t look so bad”!!! 🙂 Though we have to wait until mid-May, you’ve inspired me with those bulbs. I’ve only done a few around Christmas…now I wish I’d done them for spring. Wonder if it’s too late? All beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Blue Boy table. I’m sorry about your buyer’s remorse. Believe me, I understand. I gave a silver teapot lamp to Goodwill a couple of months ago, and I’m hoping I find it on one of my stops so I can buy it back! LOL!!
Oh, I love your sweet girl statue! Those hydrangeas are gorgeous!..How do you get them to be so lush and full? I’m thinking of planting some this year. I hope the look like yours.
That yellow rose is also a real beauty…
And I’m with you….so very ready for Spring and to enjoy the outdoors.
You’ve mentioned San Antonio a few times in your blog. Is that where you are?

Your flowers look so pretty, Shirley! I love how you have them set up on the tea cart. I know what you mean about the weather ~ it has fluctuated so much. Wednesday it is set to be 66 here in Ohio! We are also supposed to have wind and a storm, but 66?? I may be walking around in shorts that day!
WOW window boxes. Can’t wait for spring. Snow still here in Canada.
Love the cute bird pillow. Thanks for stopping by my blog
and for the lovely compliment.
I love your landscaping and all the beautiful flowers! It’s been rainy and dark here too, so tell your hubby Florida isn’t much better right now! 🙂
It may have been a cold, wet day, but your sunny yellows surely brought a little Spring to your heart!
Oooh – I love seeing all those flowers! They definitely brighten a dreary day. Let me know when your hydrangeas start to bloom again. My scissors might need to come “visit” them! ;o) I had so much fun meeting you today! I’m glad that we live so close together. You are just as beautiful in person as you are online. Hugs.
Mother nature has been like that here too! It’s driving me crazy. I don’t know whether to pull out my spring clothes or leave my winter coat in the closet. But I do have to say, you live on the most gorgeous plot of land… I absolutely love it and would never want to leave the house. Stacy
This has been the most unusual winter. One day it’s spring….the next day it’s winter….what’s up mother nature?
blessings,
karianne
Your home and gardens are just beautiful. I love the hydrangea from last year, it was gorgeous. Tomorrow it is suppose to be 78 degrees here.
What a wonderful view with the trees. Just lovely!
