When hubby entered this room….
…..he said, “there’s something different about this room”
Oh really???….what makes you say that?
For you see….
He is very observant.
……He doesn’t miss a thing!!….there’s no fooling him!
“Oh, it must be the new orchid”…I so quickly replied….
Nooo…it’s something I just cannot seem to put my finger on….(or his eyes too, for that matter)…..ha!..
……So I am thinking…my observant one is not gonna guess this one!!
Today, I was running errands…and one of them was to see my friend Frances who owns Arnold’s Monogramming.
I needed a facelift for my chair…
I really want to have it reupholstered, but my practicality is setting in…
The chair is perfectly fine…but would love a new fabric.
So I decided to give it a facelift to satisfy my never ending obsession for always changing things.
…..I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF THERAPY!!
So my therapy today was going to get this cushion monogrammed…by Frances…she did it while I waited..
…..how great is that!….Such personal service…a beautiful monogram, “while you wait”…
…..But there was a lot of “chatting” going on, while I waited….a good thing.
Oh wait!!!…he exclaims….there’s something black on that chair…he walks closer….
I like it….that is really nice!…So Frances, he likes it…Mikie likes it!!
AND I LOVE IT TOO!!….

I love it, Shirley! It makes much more of a statement than just a monogrammed pillow. Great idea and great service!
Shirley, I love this chair. The fabric is fantastic and I love the monogrammed pillow. Just beautiful!

That looks beautiful, Shirley! What a great idea! I’ve got to learn the embroidery part of my new machine. Monograms will be one of the first things I do!
While you waited?!??!!!! Wow…that’s really great! I would have SO many things in this house monogrammed if I had the money and the time! I love monograms!!! I really like the font used for your chair. Very pretty!!!!! Enjoy it!
Shirley I love the fabric on that chair and the added monogram looks AMAZING!! Your not alone, I need therapy too LOL!!
PS– Great shots!
I’ve always read that there should be a little black in every room. Great uplift to the chair. And on a side note, you probably do need therapy my friend!
Oh that is just TO DIE FOR! If I ever get up your way maybe I will bring up an armload of stuff to get monogrammed while we shop. LOL I really do love it. I heart the print. I have a thing for the Napoleon bee. Hubbies are so funny.
Shirley this looks terrific & I love that fabric so I am glad you are keeping it!!!

I love the fabric on that chair!! The monogram really sets the whole thing off. Great addition to an already gorgeous chair.
So glad Mikey likes it cause I do, too. I can’t believe she did that while you waited.
While you waited???? WOW!!! It looks beautiful! My huibby does the same thing….but usually DAYS after something new is added:):) XO, Pinky
What a great idea Shirley! And btw I think we creative minds all need therapy!
He doesn’t miss a thing, does he! It looks terrific!
So glad he likes it. It looks great. And yes the chatting was the best part.
You crack me up….so glad Mikie likes it! LOL! Great reference…oldie but a goodie. Oh, and I love the monogram. I don’t think one can have too many monogrammed things in a home. So glad you shared this lovely chair and your fabulous sense of humor at Show & Tell today. Love it!

How funny! Men are so predictable aren’t they? They must know we’re always up to something anyway. ha! I love your monogram on the chair. It adds such a nice statement to it. Now, you don’t even need a pillow in it!
This is the perfect compliment to that chair!! I love the lines in that chair btw ๐
What a wonderful idea, beautifully executed.
I love it SOOOO much!! Now I want to get mine done ๐ So funny about your husband…mine is the EXACT same say!
What a great idea! Now I’m looking around to see how I could do the same. Very clever.
I like it too!! xo
This made me laugh! You have a great husband. I love the monogram, it is just gorgeous. What a fabulous idea.
You like it, Mike likes it and I LOVE IT! Fabulous idea. Thanks for sharing, Ginger
Wow! what a great idea. Love it….
LOL! Now my house is so cluttered and filled with my never-ending projects that it always looks different … day to day. But I remember in my pre-blogging days when my husband never noticed the decorating changes, but the kids? They spotted things right away. From a very young age …
