Yard Sale Treasures…and off and running to the Southern Bloggers Conference!!

Before I hit the road for a 40 minute drive to Raleigh…

…..to help coordinate and participate in the Southern Bloggers Conference…

I want to share with you some treasures that I found:

DSC_4663

A rattan tray table, a tole tray, a vintage paint by numbers painting, and two wall baskets!

All for a grand total of $13.00 !!!

Now I must say that the wicker wall baskets were free…from a friend that was moving…

…..she said it was an enticement to visit her…and I will be next week.

I found these treasures several weeks ago…

…..our neighborhood had a neighborhood-wide yard sale.

DSC_4665

Our covenants mandate that we are not able to have individual yard sales.

…..only two neighborhood-wide yard sales a year.

In September over 40 homes “set up shop”….and I cruised the neighborhood…looking for treasures….

…..and I think I did very well!

I love the rattan/wicker tray table, but did not quite like the stain…

…..so I bought some Krylon paint.

You can see the leaves that have just started to fall…

I like the white finish….but did you notice something?….My hubby certainly did!

I forgot to lay a cloth on the ground….ooops!!….I was in a hurry!…

DSC_4672

I was in a hurry as I still had to pack and do some prep for the Southern Bloggers Conference…

DSC_4687

I placed the very newly painted table in the guest room….

Where Suzy from Worthing Court is staying in for the night…

…..as we will be leaving very early in the morning to go to the conference.

DSC_4682

I like the table there…next to the chair…for cute bath items…

I love the way it turned out…and love the price tag of $4.00 from the yard sale….

Hope you like it and my guests too!!

lol I have once or twice spray painted our lawn too…oh well, it will be gone with the first mowing. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Your table looks perfect beside the chair & bath waiting for your guest. A lovely touch of welcome.

Loved your yard sale Treasures! Also, the tour of your Beautiful Home. Guess I need to start going to yard sales, but, if you look around my home I need to have lots of yard sales…lol. (So my adult son said) It is a Joy & Fun to find these treasures and bargins, whether in yard sales, and stores, and turn them into your own projects. Keep posting!

Oh, mercy! When I saw that paint on the grass, I thought, “Hmmmmm….did she move that table from where it is in the 1st picture, because that did NOT seem like a remote area of the yard!” I’ll bet hubby was horrified! I have done that same thing. I was spray painting one lousy leaf, so I didn’t think it would make that much of a mess. My husband, who can walk past a new piece of furniture or even SIT ON IT for a week before noticing it, noticed that teensy little bit of colored grass the second he drove up…at DUSK!!!! It’s a man thing, I think. ๐Ÿ™‚ Be careful driving, please, and have fun at the conference!!!

I love the tall baskets, they are beautiful and what you did with the other is great. It looks beautiful near the chair and the tub.

Shirley, you do travel with one eye open and find the best things. I’m wondering when you’re going to run out of room to put them all!

What great finds! I love how your tray table turned out too. It looks great by your tub. The two wall baskets that your friend gave you would be cute on your french doors with flowers or greenery. Hope you’re having fun at the conference.

I can’t believe I missed this post! Your little rattan table is adorable and looks perfect in the guest bath. You are the hostess with the mostest – I so enjoyed staying with you and working on the conference together! I had to chuckle when I was at your house and saw the white spot in the back yard. ;o)
