Happy Friday everyone!!!
Today I present an inspiration that I received from these wonderful ladies…
…..Mary from Home is Where The Boat Is and Yvonne from StoneGable.
Here are their projects that inspired me to complete mine.
Mary, from Home is Where the Boat Is has this incredible potting bench in her Garden Cottage.
Yvonne, from StoneGable has this adorable and oh so functional potting bench on her porch.
I purchased an enamel top table from Kristen…she has the best things!
I painted a decorative bench that my sister gave me about 15 years ago..
And I put the two together to create my potting bench!
Ta Da!…finally, I finished this project!!
Today is very gloomy…at least it wasn’t raining and sleeting…
….I was out there a 7a.m. this morning taking pics!
I fell in love with this fabric I purchased on sale at JoAnn Fabrics.
It is just so happy!…and so am I!!
The potting bench is located off a little porch area outside the second guest/craft room…
And here is the view from that room.
And did I tell you that I love this fabric…it is so fun and happy…!!
I brought this chair down from the upper porch…thought it was a great fit there…
I added my magnetic metal flowers to the top of the bench..
I love how the bird house bench fit so well on the table.
I love that the top is rusty and chippy!
So thank you for visiting me today and hope that you enjoyed my Potting Bench Project…
…..inspired by Mary and Yvonne!
Have a wonderful day!!

I love your potting bench as well as the inspiration for it. What a wonderful idea, and you’ve shown potting benches can be a focal point of cuteness as well as functional. Your blue chair has inspired me. I have an old chair that I haven’t been able to figure out what to do with. I had thought to refinish it and re-upholster the seat – it is currently worn out leather. However, it is too short for anyone to actually sit in. It will look great painted and used to display a plant.
Sooooooooooo cute! You did a fabulous job and I love that happy fabric.

OMG!!!! When I saw your “Rosebuds” pot I gasped!!!!!!! My Mom’s nickname was Rosebud!!!!!!!!!!!! If you EVER want to get rid of it I will buy it from you. Now, I ADORE your potting bench!!!!! The little stool is PERFECT perched up on the table! I love the fabric too. And, you have the perfect spot to put it in. Lucky girl. I am also JEALOUS that you have flowers and that AMAZING fern so lush and pretty! XO, Pinky

The birdhouse bench is one that I and my husband made many years ago. We designed and copyrighted it, but it does not stop the copiers. That aside, I can tell by the original paint job that it is one of mine. I do like your addition of the flower pot and flowers painted on the original back, and the white paint really makes the back pop. Great job. (No longer in business, but still have my pride!
