Happy Friday everyone!
This week I am presenting my upper back porch area that was inspired by Kelly, from Eclectically Vintage.
When she posted about her new patio furniture last year, I headed to Home Depot to buy that beautiful patio set.
You can see the original post here.
Today, I present you with this year’s Spring Porch makeover.
It is not a large space, but very cozy and perfect for that early morning cup of coffee…
…..or a calm, relaxing space at the end of the day.
And..here is Kelly’s beautiful patio…
I just love her vintage slider too!!
I added floral pillows from Lowe’s Home Improvement.
I was eyeing these great Ikat pillows from Pottery Barn, but these were $13/ea compared to the Pottery Barn at $50/ea.
…..hopefully one day I can see the PB pillows on sale or at the outlet!
During the Spring, it is so nice to be able to see the flowering trees from the porch.
This is the view from the dining room..
…..the porch is accessible from the dining room, great room, and master bedroom…
……….three sets of french doors surround this porch.
One corner of the porch…I plan to mount this wall hanging on a canvas soon.
This corner has my favorite piece of patio furniture…..my tea cart.
My very favorite garden and gift center is being liquidated and sold and they started their sale yesterday.
…..I purchased the lantern and the burlap canvas art on sale.
The small Eugenia topiary is from Lowe’s, flower pot from HomeGoods….
…..the bird plate and birds were a gift from my granddaughter.
This burlap canvas lends to a pretty texture.
The armillary is new to the space…I purchased it from One Kings Lane several months ago.
The coffee table has two trays of the pretty “aluminum cane” that lift up for easy serving…
…..I love this owl (a gift from a friend) that goes so well the with turquoise flower pots.
I hope you enjoyed my 2013 Spring Porch…that was inspired by the talented Kelly of Eclectically Vintage.
Have a beautiful weekend!!
I am joining:

What a beautiful space, Shirley! I’m so jealous of your gorgeous porch … and beautiful, sunny weather!!!

Bravo! What a great spot and beautifully accessorized. I see that out door furniture is becoming much more indoor-like, creating a more seamless transition between the two. Looks comfy! My only problem is that it’s so much work keeping all of the spaces free of spider webs, leaves, etc., that there’s no time to sit down to enjoy them! I just need to wear darker glasses, so I can’t see it all!
Have a great day!

So stunning, I love that furniture it is so pretty and the pillows are wonderful. The picture by the lantern and the topiary is stunning I love the colors. Great job as always! Have a great weekend Shirley!

This is EXACTLY what I would love to have off our master suite. We currently have standard windows, but I think they should become a pair of French doors that lead out onto a deck. The deck doesn’t have to be humongous…just large enough for a settee, a couple of chairs, a small table…kind of like what you have here. My parents have a REALLY good-sized deck off their master as well as one off the kitchen and a sun porch off the dining room. I have wondered aloud in front of Ramon MANY times how that would look at our house, but to no avail. 🙁
You have set this up beautifully, Shirley, and I know you will enjoy many beautiful, relaxing mornings out on this gorgeous porch! Me? I guess I’ll just go hang out in my garage. 🙂

So so pretty and I wish it had been warm enough to sit out there with our coffee last week, but it was cold. Love that furniture. Eventually I will get a decent set for our deck.

that’s it. I am on my way over right now to sit with you on the beautiful porch ! How nice to be able to sit there in the mornings. What is behind your house- is it private cause I would probably be in my PJ’s.

Very beautiful space, just crying for me to enjoy that quiet cup of coffee with you! You are very fortunate to have such a large decorating budget. Enjoy! Have a cup for me this evening……
I could just spend hours out there, Shirley, especially now, when it’s still cool outdoors, with bright, clear blue skies. Love it.
Looks beautiful, Shirley. So jealous as we have to wait until after Mother’s Day to put any plants outside. It’s finally starting to green up from all of the snow melt. I can’t wait to be sitting on that porch next week maybe watching our hubbies golf by! Oh, and that owl is adorable.
Love your porch and the furniture is beautiful!!!
Blessings,
Cindy
Shirley,
Love your porch. I live in the Raleigh area; can you share the name of the garden center that is being liquidated? Thanks in advance.
Your porch is gorgeous! I wish my porch was covered. My cushions are all covered up in pollen! I love your blog and look forward to reach each installment.
Can you tell us where you got your planters that hang over the sides of your railings? Thanks!
Tracy B’s recent post…Fashion Friday – Apples
The planters are window box planters with the brackets..I purchased them at Lowe’s Home Improvement…They are sold separately.
Ahhh, what time should I be over to sip lemonade on your fabulous porch? Or would you prefer wine!? I still love my patio furniture and am actually sitting out on my patio right now. Every time I sit here, I’ll think of you Shirley!

Shirley, your porch is just beautiful! It feels so relaxing and cozy…I’d be out there all the time. LOVE those floral pillows…I may need to stop in Lowe’s this weekend…lol! We’ve enjoyed sitting out back; but, we keep getting these fluke ‘cold’ days. It’s been in the 40’s for the past couple of days; and we’ll be back in the 80’s over the weekend.

Wow how beautiful – I would never get anything done for sitting on the porch. I really like the furniture and I can see why you purchased it. Everything is perfect and all goes so well together.
Many thanks for sharing your beautiful porch and have a wonderful weekend.

Awe, looks so refreshing, it’s wonderful to have a great vantage point to enjoy nature and contemplate on everything we are so grateful for…..happy weekend, Love & Blessings…
Your porch is beautiful! How will you keep it clean? My porches get so much damage, rain, wind, leaves, pollen, etc. All of my pillows and cute stuff get wet, moldy and look bad. Any tips?
My porch is under a roof and it rarely gets wet…just leaves and pollen!…I am fortunate that I do not have a problem with any mildew…just need to sweep often!
Your little flower pot looks like a McCoy, if it is be sure to keep it. McCoy flower pots are hard to find and worth $$$.
LOVE your porch as I do all of your beautiful home.
Thanks for sharing, Kathy
Thanks…yes it is a McCoy flower pot…I have a collection of them and try to use them as much as I can.
Ooh I love this Shirley! You staged this beautifully! I like the furniture you chose and the pillows make it looks so summery! All your details give it an inviting look. I’d be out there a lot! You have a nice setting- love your French doors.
Love your spring porch! So peaceful. Have a great weekend, Ginger

Beautiful furniture, Shirley! I like that it is different than what you normally see in outdoor furniture. Love your canvas art work ~ it looks perfect on your porch. Your tea cart is wonderful! I always stop to check them out when I see them. They seem to be very popular lately in the antique malls.
