Ever So Clever, Ever So Pretty Friday, #13 {A Nailhead Trimmed Table}

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week!..

Today’s project is “ever so clever AND ever so pretty”.

My inspiration for this week came from the talented and creative Laura, of Finding Home.

Laura’s blog is truly one of my favorites…I have been following her as long as I have been blogging.

I am sure that most of you are familiar with Laura’s beautiful home…her projects are always amazing.

So, here is my project today!

A nailhead trimmed table with a vinyl top..

Here is the beautiful table that Laura made….and love the vignette too!!

I started out with this $5.00 yard sale find and painted it with ASCP Old White…

I added blue vinyl and nailhead trim that came in a roll..yes, a roll.

…..you place a tack in a designated hole about every 5th tack…cool beans!!

You can probably tell by my photos that I did this project at night…

When I was purchasing tacks for this project, the girl at the fabric store showed me this “roll of tacks”….

…..and of course the individual tacks went back to the bin and this roll of tacks was perfect.

The trim went on beautifully.

This table landed in my guest room bath…

…..I love it here.

Taking pics in this room is a challenge as there is no natural light in this room.

So I thank you so much Laura for my inspiration today…you inspire me everyday!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

I need you to come to my house. I’m sure we could find lots of projects to keep you busy when you finish at your house. Love the addition of tacks to the table.

Great project, especially when you use a $5 garage sale table. That role of nail head trim sure makes the project super simple.

Wonderful idea, Shirley. My neighbor gave me some of those nail heads. I might do something like this with them. Looks beautiful next to your tub.

What a fun and pretty transformation, Shirley! Individual tacks are very time consuming; glad you discovered this little secret. I’ve used both methods- just depends on the look I’m after.

Hello! I think your table looks wonderful–what a great transformation! I was especially interested to see the guest towels from the Carolina Inn–made me wonder if you like anywhere close to Chapel Hill! I live in Durham. It’s so nice to meet you!

That’s a great way to dress up a small plain table! I really love it. The vinyl will protect it from the water too.

Great yard sale find. We must go yard saling together one day. “For the booth,” of course!

Wonder if the sales are better in your neck of the woods or mine.
