Master Bedroom Updates

I have been a bit M.I.A. this week…

…..catching up on projects and daily life….in-between travel and activities.

I have been working “slowly” on the master bedroom…

…..just adding a few “embellishments” here and there…

I added a plant stand by the door and placed a plant in an ironstone chamber pot…

…..that I purchased from Marian (Miss Mustard Seed) at Lucketts.

A standing mirror that I purchased from HomeGoods…

…..and it is getting a bit transformed.

Making a faux floral arrangement for a table….don’t they look very real?!!

And adding trim here….

And there…

When I was taking a pic of the trim…there was “daddy bird” perched…

DSC_0477

He was feeding his “baby”…

This bird is too young to be afraid of me looking at it and taking its picture.

DSC_0479

Its brothers and sisters were in the nest…this guy was the adventurous one!

Need to replace so many of my ferns and plants that the birds have nested in and made a mess….

…..but such is nature and I love birds.

Off to work on my project for tomorrow…see you then!!

I like that fern in the chamber pot- it’s perfect! Those roses look real for sure! I like the picture you snapped of them with the stems and scissors! I see you are “trimming” things! Isn’t it fun to watch baby birds- they grow up so fast and leave the nest quickly! Can’t wait to see the finished mirror!

That mirror is wonderful. I think it will look prettier with the white paint too. Love that chamber pot. Your babies are so fun to see. And yes, I have sacrificed a few hanging baskets for the sake of baby birds. ๐Ÿ™‚ Can’t wait to see what you’ve got to share with us for tomorrow. Lovely changes in the bedroom. xxoo

What darling bird pictures! I’m afraid I would have had to shoo him away. Your furniture is much to nice to have bird dropping on!

Looks like some great projects, Shirley! I love the birds as well and waking up to their many different songs. I wish they’d take their you-know-what else where, that they leave behind, while perching, but that’s life! Enjoy your day!

You certainly have been working in the bedroom. Great trim on the lampshade and love the paint on the mirror. Baby birds are fun to watch but you are right, they do make a mess.

You’ve been busy! I love those sweet little roses. And yes, they do look real! I have so many projects that need my attention. I’ve told myself to just start with the small ones…like you have. A little trim here, etc. Then I’d feel like I was getting something accomplished!

All your updates are looking good, Shirley. What kind of plant is that in your chamber pot? Those roses look very real- wow. Love the baby birds, but not the mess. ๐Ÿ™‚
