Yes, September is here…time to dream about falling temperatures and falling leaves.
But it is still hard to think about that when the temperatures are still in the high 80’s..
And, the trees are still full of their beautiful green leaves.
One can pretend though…
Today, I added some “fall teasers” in the kitchen.
I have a collection of Hall Jewel Tea Autumn Leaf dinnerware.
A great design for Fall.
I gathered some accent pieces of this collection to bring the warmth of Fall into the kitchen..
Changed out the “summer” vintage tablecloth to the pretty tones of oranges and peach…
…..I store half of my vintage tablecloths in my treasured A&P shopping cart.
These pieces replaced a crystal bowl of fruit and a crystal basket that held napkins.
Today, a gravy boat holds the napkins…
Nothing says Fall like a great bowl of apples…
And why is it that flowers and fruit look so beautiful together…
…..because that is what “Mother Nature” planned.
These apples remind me that we need to take the time to travel to an apple orchard in the Fall.
Such a beautiful time of the year…
And…I would like to take this time to thank all of you for your many, many kind words…
…..beautiful words of comfort this past week…I so truly appreciate it.
A package appeared on my front porch…it contained this beautiful vase.
A vase that has great meaning to me.
A beautiful friend gave this to me….To remind me that I have a special angel to watch over me always.
Have a beautiful day!

Those are some beautiful fall dishes. I like to decorate with apples, too for fall. I can smell the apple pie baking. Yum. Yes, doesn’t quite feel like fall yet. Hopefully soon.
Hi Shirley! Oh, this is so pretty! I love this vintage pattern – I have a couple of pie plates. It certainly does look like fall and I’m loving your vignette.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉

Such pretty Fall dishes. I too luv to add apples all over the home for fall. The smell….. Usually I would be pulling out the Fall things already, but 91* outside is hampering my Fall feeling :-/

What a beautiful fall display. Our leaves are changing here in Michigan and we are in the 60’s during the day. I’m sure your temps will drop soon and fall will be in the air.

Nice early Fall touches, Shirley! I love the pattern on your dishes. I am eager to get started decorating for Fall and Halloween, except it is still kind of warm here and I just can’t do it while wearing shorts and flip-flops! : ) I’ve just done a few projects for outside so far, which helps make me feel like I’m easing into it.

Shirley, I just love your new additions. The apples are perfect for transitioning into fall. In fact, I am burning an apple candle right now! I dug out my fall decor over the weekend; and I have been ‘playing’ all day. It’s still almost 100 degrees; but, this helps me feel cooler…lol!

Hi, Shirley! Your beautiful Fall dishware and vintage table cloths are making me itch to do a bit of Fall decorating myself. I haven’t done a thing yet!
I’m so sorry for your loss of your precious friend, Ruth. Thank you for sharing your letter to her. Such a special reminder for us to cherish those around us, not take our health for granted and to not sweat the small “stuff”. So often the “stuff” can take over if we’re not careful. Thank you for the reminder with this lovely tribute to your friend.
I love the Fall touches…I haven’t even started yet! You are the queen of vignettes!
