A Christmas “Greenscape” in the Dining Room

I thought I would change out my china this year for the Christmas table . .

~ ~ but I love it so much that I used it again this year.

My Lenox Holiday Tartan.

If I am feeling energetic, I may try another tablescape later ๐Ÿ™‚

For today, the table is set, a “greenscape” . .

  4. Shirley,

s so gorgeous. The little “o peek” box has got to be the sweetest thing ever! I can’t wait to have grandkids now! I love your use of greens, and those boxwood trees are my favorite. I have seen them at Tuesday Morning, but I can be notoriously cheap. I just may crack open my wallet after seeing how pretty your table turned out!

    Merry Christmas!

  5. Stunning, Shirley. I love the beaded fruit and fruit trees. I just call my husband in to show him your tablescape. He is always bringing me home cardinals because he loves them. They take up residence in our sunroom for the holidays.

Day four of my Holiday Home Tour is now posted. I hope you can come by to visit and say hello.โ™ฅ

  6. Gorgeous as usual! I love your decorating style…….always an inspiration for me. Merry Christmas to you & your family.

  7. It’s lovely, Shirley! I have that pattern too, as well as Holiday and Eternal Christmas, and a few other non Lenox patterns. I am headed to the Lenox Outlet today to get some more as gifts. I love the light shining through in your dining room, looks so pretty! I only have a French Door in mine, so picture taking is not easy!
Doesn’t look like you are keeping it simple to me!:)

Your dining room looks beautiful and I am enjoying the less glitter effect. I, too, thought for a brief moment about not using my Lenox Holiday Tartan and then said to myself, “are you crazy? You and Shirley love that pattern and bought it piece by piece.” I have glitter cardboard houses as a center piece not but will set my holiday table with “our Christmas china” a few days before Christmas dinner. Love the tree and wish I had room to put one up in the dining room like I did in our Florida house. But then I remind myself, what goes up must come down and don’t miss it as much!

  11. Shirley, this is one of the prettiest tablescapes that I’ve ever seen! And I am crushing on those vintage green compotes! Wish I could find some like that! They are just gorgeous! Pinning and sharing!

  12. Shirley…a girl after my own heart. I started collecting this pattern last year (much to my husband’s dismay as we already have one Christmas pattern!). Your table is gorgeous and I may have to “borrow” some ideas from you! BUT…I also noticed that you have Old Country Roses in the background. Another of my favorites, which fills my china cabinet. I guess we like a lot of vibrant color! Have the Merriest Christmas with your loved ones!!!

  13. Very pretty Shirley, you sure go all out and it looks beautiful.

  14. I love your china as well. I would never trade that in. Love all of yourcor as well.

Shirley, I absolutely love your tablescape. I have to ask you, where did you get the arrangement on the table in front of the window? It is exactly what I have been looking for.

  22. Shirley, it’s absolutely stunning!! I love the tree and the wreath…well, all of it! ๐Ÿ™‚ You are incredibly talented in the holiday decorating.

  23. Beautiful as always my friend…love that centerpiece you created!!

  24. Everything looks beautiful Shirley!

Years ago, I was a bridal consultant for Macy’s. Part of the perks that came along with that job was getting first digs on items when they went on sale. That,,plus our employee discount, made for some great deals. One of the patterns I picked up was the Lenox one that you have, as well as the Rose pattern in your hutch. I also had acquired some Waterford glasses and I kept most everything in a hutch on glass shelves.

One day I came home to find almost everything broken because a shelf on the top broke, crashing down on everything beneath it causing a domino effect of chaos. ๐Ÿ™

I couldn’t help but notice the wooden high chair. Is that an antique? It looks like one my friend has, which she too has in her dining room. She recently became a grandmother and decided with a little prodding from moi to take it out of the closet and put it out so it can be seen and admired.

  25. Breathtaking! I love the centerpiece. I say it all the time but you haver such beautiful things! I loe your dishes. I have the Lenox “Ribbons”. I posted my dining room today too, if you want a peek:) I love that bench!!!!!!!!!! What a perfect fit for that spot, and love the pillow too. I wish I had a PB closer. Have a beautiful weekend. Our tour is tomorrow night!!!! XO

  26. Stunning, Shirley! You’ve created such a lush, colorful, traditional, inviting and festive tablescape, ready for special friends and family to take a seat and linger! Gorgeous tree, and I love the pillow on your pretty bench!

  33. Shirley, Your dining room is stunning! Where do I start? I LOVE, LOVE every detail..the topiaries, candles, your tree with the golden pineapple and beaded fruit. The antique bench is perfect..gosh, I can’t pick a favorite thing..the whole room is my “favorite”.

  34. Shirley, I saw this a few days ago, but I wanted to make sure I came back and commented because it is seriously stunning. This is one of my favorite tablescapes I’ve seen this year! I love all the green with the pops of red…your whole dining room is gorgeous ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll always remember us trying to fit that bench into your car at Kim’s too!! I don’t think I’ve asked before, but where did you get your upholstered dining chairs…love them!

  35. I am in love with your greenscape…so beautiful and it looks great with your Christmas dishes

  36. It’s tough to let go of a good thing. When you have a classic design like this china, you just have to go there!!! I do the same thing! I have lots of dishes, but almost always end up falling back on the same 2 or 3 designs for Christmas. Sad, isn’t it? At least it shows we’re consistent! ๐Ÿ™‚

You’ve got this room decked out to the nth power!!!!! Beautiful!!!

  37. Shirley, Lenox Holiday Tartan is such a beautiful pattern! I love your ‘greenscape’ runner centerpiece and cardinals! I fell in love with that pillow at PB and had to have it ๐Ÿ™‚

  38. Love the table setting…
