The Christmas Porch

The wreaths have been hung and the garland wrapped around the doors ~ ~

The music is playing on the porch.

~ ~ and Rudolph has made his appearance.

It was a beautiful day.

The Flexible Flyer Sled comes out each year ~

We added battery powered snowflakes to the top of the topiaries this year.

The ornaments were hung as in the past couple years..

I recycled the wreaths from last year and added a new bow.

This wonderful handmade reindeer make from tree branches ~ a gift from my niece.

I placed a tree with colored lights in the wagon.

Wreaths and garland over the garage doors ~ ~

~ ~ as you can see, it was a beautiful “Carolina Blue” day.

Wreaths on the windows ~

Merry Christmas from my home to yours!!

  3. Merry Christmas Shirley! Your porch looks wonderful. I admit my porch is tiny and it stumps me every year simply because of it’s size and lack of symmetry. I love your idea about hanging ornaments from the ceiling….I may have to do a last minute copy cat 🙂

Very pretty and festive. I miss my big porch we had in Florida (and the weather, too this time of year LOL). I have my sled by my front door, too with a sign that says “let it snow”. I hope not!

  5. This is all so elegant yet cute. I love the hanging ornaments and Rudolph. I keep saying I am going to hang ornaments or snowflakes and then don’t do it.

  6. Oh, how insanely wonderful it must be to have an ACTUAL front porch!!! You have decorated it beautifully, Shirley!!! I love the ornaments suspended from the ceiling. What a great touch!! And your vintage sled…classic! And that tree branch Rudolph with his red jingle bell nose is so cute!!!!!! GREAT idea to put a tree in the vintage wagon! I am just heartbroken that my parents chucked our childhood sled and wagon. Makes me want to cry every time I think about it. I went over yesterday to look one last time. The garage and shed are clean as a whistle, so no mistaking…they’re gone.

Your home is so beautiful, Shirley, and you always take such great care to make sure your decor is just as pleasing. Sometimes it may not feel as if your efforts are 100% appreciated (I think we ALL feel that way from time to time!), but believe me…you have a super fan in me!!!
