Spring Vignette with Antique French Apothecary Jar

I am slowly adding my French Treasures into the decor of my home.

Today, I am displaying my antique French Apothecary Jar in a Spring Vignette . .

~ ~ yes, skipping Winter and going straight to Spring.

I can see all the Winter decor I want outside my window!!

I wanted to keep the vignette light and simple..

~ ~ well, as simple as I get.

I used the apothecary jar as a vase in this vignette.

And added these pretty variegated tulips from Trader Joe’s.

My granddaughter told me they are called Fire and Ice . . .

~ ~ really? High five to my little 8 year old budding decorator.

A Spring vignette is not complete without a bird’s nest . . and pretty speckled eggs.

With a background of the monogrammed chair.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing my first hint of Spring in my home!

Still incorporating more of my France trip’s treasures into the decor..

~ ~ so stay tuned ๐Ÿ™‚

And don’t forget to stop and smell the tulips!!

Have a wonderful day!!

    A beautiful Spring vignette, Shirley.

When it snowed here the other day I remembered having bright pink tulips in February during snow. I plopped them in a white pitcher and put it in the snow, on the front porch for a quick photoshoot. Fun photos! Haven’t been to the store since last week. I wonder if Tulips have arrived at Kroger in our town. They are a definite Winter spirit lifter!

B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!!! I love it, Shirley! I have been cleaning all day today with Ramon’s help, and I stayed up last night doing the same as well as a bit of decorating here & there. This is wonderful inspiration to keep it goin’! I wish the painters were here and gone already! I’m anxious to get the walls painted and start choosing new furniture! Meanwhile, little touches around the house will have to do. Your touches are just the right spark!

Oh Shirley, your beautiful vignette is just stunning and so spring looking. Love all the white jars. The the fire and ice tulips look so good in your vase. Even though we are not having terrible weather I am anxious for my flowers and roses to start blooming. The gardeners have almost finished pruning all of my roses. We are getting a little bit of rain.
Have a great weekend. Can hardly wait to see the rest of your French decore.

Very pretty, Shirley. I think tulips are my favorite flower. I am sooo ready for spring but I don’t think it’s ready to show it’s pretty face quite yet. Yesterday’s temperature tied a record for cold here…5 degrees. But when spring finally does arrive, I will be able to enjoy the beautiful tulips in our front yard that I missed last year because we were in NC visiting our besties!

Very pretty and Springy, Shirley! I am sure I will break down soon and buy some tulips and daffodils, but I am going to try and wait until after Valentine’s Day. By then I will be ready to move right along into Spring!

I bet when Spring finally gets here across the U.S., there will be no one inside on their computer, or watching TV, because they will all be outside soaking up the glorious fresh air that we’ve all missed out on this Winter. (pardon that ridiculously long run on sentence) It’s just too cold to do anything! I love your hints of Spring inside. So fresh and pretty.

Oh Shirley it was so nice to open up your blog post and see a little bit of Spring. Ohhhhh to have Spring. With our temps in the single digits and wind chills below freezing it was nice to think about pretty tulips popping up. I hope someday we will see that under the 50 inches of snow. Very pretty.

Shirley, we must be channelling the same design thoughts….I just added tulips to my table yesterday…they look a little silly against the white, snowy backdrop outside my window! But, just as cheery…everything looks, fresh and Spring like…beautiful photos…N.xo

    Hi Shirley,

This is such a pretty spring vignette! I adore tulips, and these are so cheerful!! Your French apothecary jar is lovely, and so are your bird’s nest and speckled eggs. I still have our house dressed for winter, but after seeing your pretty treasures, I’m re-thinking when to bring out the spring decor. ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you have a great week, Shirley. Are you predicted to get snow again down your way? I think they’re calling for it here; I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Take care.

Shirley, this vignette is just beautiful. You’ve created a nice breath of spring! Those tulips are so pretty. I need to get to Trader Joe’s more often–their flower prices are unbeatable!

I must ask–what’s the floral fabric on the pillow in these photos? It’s so pretty!

Thanks so much for linking to Grace at Home. I featured you this week! Hope you’re doing well in this snowy weather!
