Spring Fever Decorating

I am working on literally every room in this house . . .

~ ~ to freshen up for Spring.

I find myself moving MORE things around.

I move from room to room and not completing an entire room . .

~ ~ is that what they call “attention deficit decorating” ???

So I snapped some pictures of some things I have been working on . .

Changing the items in the hutch . . .

Gathering items for the “new look”

My friend and neighbor Mary changed her decor from French Country . . .

~ ~ to Tuscan style and also changed her dishes accordingly

~ ~ ~ and I was the benefactor of her gorgeous dishes of Noritake Summer Estate.

Creating a new vignette in the kitchen . . .

Styling the bookcases in the great room . .

And with the help of Linda, Kristen’s mom, I am making over the sunroom too!

So here are some sneak peeks of some of the rooms I have been working on . . .

~ ~ and trying to correct my “attention deficit decorating” issue.

AND….I just recently solved my Instagram problems . .

~ ~ I have actually had Instagram for several years.

So you can now follow me here on Instagram . .

~ ~ or by clicking on the “camera icon” at the top of my sidebar!..

Have a wonderful day!!

Love the spring look of the china. I am chomping at the bit to do some spring decorating but hubby says I need to wait until after the next predicted snowfall! Actually, it’s still a month until spring but I think after the winter most of the country has had, we’re all pushing the season.

My husband is always commenting on how I haven’t found anyone good enough to us them for”.. he’s wrong..he never remembers! I wish you would send some of that spring weather to me…they news is saying that we are supposed to get more snow next Wednesday.. I hope they are wrong.. there’s no where left to put it!

Oh Shirley, don’t laugh but, I have the same problem. I go from room to room looking for something and end up doing something else. I guess I am in my Golden Years and have spring fever LOL
Looking forward to seeing all your changes – love your home. Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you get to spend sometime with your beautiful granddaughter. Mine is skiing in Tahoe.
My son said; Mom Kelly is taking after you – she loves crafts and is quite the little seamstress. She wanted to go to the GW – she found a dress bought it, took it home and re-made it for a Father/Daughter dance and wore it. He said she did a wonderful job. Maybe she is going to be a Fashion Designer – who would have thought.

Love those dishes, Shirley! Now they definitely say Spring to me. We are getting a tease this week. Almost 60 today but cloudy and rainy. I’ll take it over snow though!

    It is all beautiful, Shirley.

We had a taste of Spring weather here today. High winds, trees uprooted, crazy weather. I’m glad I didn’t let the snow get to me because right now,it doesn’t look so bad after all…today was crazy with early Spring. However…having said all that, I bought silk tulips at The White Hare the other day and did a little Spring vignette in the hearth room.:-)

I don’t think it’s attention deficit disorder at all! I think it’s just like the rest of us: feeling like we need to get this awful winter behind us as soon as possible, even if it means just a touch here and there throughout the house! I want so badly to start Spring decorating, but the season comes much later here in the Midwest. I don’t think I’ll get my chance until about this time next month. I’m banking ideas in the meantime, so don’t be surprised if you look in the background of one of my tablescapes and see some of your ideas STOLEN!!! πŸ™‚

Boy, am I ready for spring, too. This week, I thought it was here, but I’ve been hearing some rumors that we may get some cold weather again — and maybe more snow! — next week. No, please no! I’m ready for flip-flops and fresh flowers and pollen everywhere — everything that spring brings — good and bad.

I can’t wait to see your sunroom makeover. Do I spy a touch of coral in there?

I’ve been doing the same thing, Shirley! It seems like I do this every year after taking down the Christmas stuff. I move around, clean, purge, buy new stuff…just a big whirlwind and nothing is really done. So glad I’m not alone!

Love what you’re doing. Everything looks so fresh and lovely!
    Happy Monday!

Shirley, I love the touches of red that you are bringing into the sunroom! I think I have “attention deficit cleaning” today. I keep doing a little in each room but not getting the whole house cleaned (and my house is SMALL!) Going to look for you on Instagram!
