I have been busy “springifying” each room in my house . .
~ ~ and now the guest room is dressed for Spring.
The first thing I did to “Springify” the room was to add these tole trays. .
~ ~ of great floral colors. . .
~ ~ ~ ~ they replaced my trio of fabric framed art.
I really love how the tole trays blend so well with the bed frame and chandy.
So come on in and welcome to the “Housepitality Suite” !!
This room will be filled with company this weekend . .
~ ~ and we can all use a bit of Spring!
Placed a Spring vignette on the blanket chest at the foot of the bed.
Filled the basket with things to read . . .
~ ~ and placed a “Springy” vintage tablecloth of pretty daisies.
. . . and I will have a little bouquet of flowers to “hand” them !
The vintage glove form is a gift from my sweet friend, Kristen.
On the night stand to the left of the bed . .
~ ~ the faux hydrangeas were replaced with fresh Spring flowers.
Spring decor is not complete without a bird or a birdcage . .
. . . that is nestled in a floral arrangement in a reproduction ceiling tin container.
. . . and a copy of the latest issue of Spring Cottage.
There are some changes in this side of the room . .
~ ~ can you spot them?
This table was previously in the sunroom . . .
A pop of color was needed in this milk glass basket of vintage fishing floats . .
~ ~ so I added pretty yellow daisies..
This little Spring vignette is on top of something . .
~ ~ that was previously in the media room.
. . . a stack of vintage picnic baskets.
There is always room for more housing for birds!
. . . that is beside my French Wood Box with the chicken stamps!
There are some changes still in the process in this guest bathroom . .
This pretty painting that I bought at a moving sale in our neighborhood . .
~ ~ seems to fit well in this spot and certainly adds “Spring” to the room.
I purchased this pretty little table at the sale too!
So with the addition of pretty floral decor, beautiful fresh Spring flowers . . .
~ ~ a painting of Spring flowers in a vase and places for birds to nest . . .
~ ~ ~ ~ I think this room is ready for Spring!!!

Shirley you always outdo yourself with all the extra touches and it still holds true the room is beautiful.
Shirley, What a beautiful guest room, they would never want to leave! I’m green with spring envy over your collection of tole trays…and picnic baskets and French wood box. Your trays are so beautiful in contrast to the pale blue of your wall. I was thrilled to find two tole trays last week at a consignment shop but they are a wee bit shabbier than yours π
Looking good and ready for guests. I bought one of those glove molds a few weeks ago. How sweet of Kristen to give you one.
Shirley if I stayed in the room I would never leave! It is so very welcoming and homey. And you are so right…we could all use a few signs of spring!
Everything looks beautiful. I really like what you did with the trays. I think any guest would feel privileged to stay in that room.
Sandy
Beautiful as always!
Very pretty and inviting! Can I book my stay??
It looks wonderful, Shirley! Can’t wait to see what everyone has in store!
Yes indeed you have my room ready! How pretty Shirley.I love all your little details that make it so welcoming. The hand with the flower cracked me up too! Our bed in our master is very similar to this bed, which of course I love.
The black tole trays look absolutely stunning with your bed frame and chandy! I would love to come stay in your beautiful room. I also spy some Longaberger baskets!
What a lovely room! Everything looks so beautiful, love that chandelier and iron bed!!! although I have to be honest, that hand in the basket kinda freaks me out…
Have a fabulous week!

Love your springifying! The trays in the guest room and the springy floral additions look wonderful! I like that stack of lunch baskets making a table- very neat idea! I have a bird house really similar to the one you have withthe green top but it didn’t come with a stand like yours- that gives me an idea to see if I can find a way to elevate it! Lovely details throughout!
Oh Shirley,
I am on my way to stay in your “Housepitality Room” Just beautiful. Love the trays above the bed. They do look perfect with the bed frame and chandy. Love all the touches in the room it will make anyone’s stay so wonderful.

Such a pretty room! I love the way you move things around.
Do y’all have company often? We do have company a lot and I just love having a dedicated space for them. π
I, too, love to use bird houses and nests in the spring. The room is so pretty. I love the iron bed. Is it an antique or is it available for purchase somewhere?
The iron bed is by Wesley Allen…sold in most major furniture showrooms…
Let me know when I can come down and stay in that gorgeous room of yours. The chandy is to die for. Did it come with all those crystals on it or did you add them? You have so much great reading material in there too. I could spend a few hours in there, I wouldn’t even bother you I promise.
The chandy is the Celeste by Pottery Barn…crystals included!
Absolutely beautiful, as always! I love the tole trays and how they play off the chancy and your bed. Also your bedding is gorgeous!!! Happy Spring!~~Angela
