Adding Texture & Color to the Master Bathroom

After discussing the photo shoot of my home with the editor . . .

I asked if there was anything she recommend that I do.

She made two suggestions . . . one was to add something to my master bathroom . .

~ ~ that would add some color and texture to an area in the room.

Master Bath

Master Bath

Could it be in the details of the accessories? . .

Master Bath View

Or in the color and texture of flowers that can be seen outside the bathroom window ?. .

Master Bath View

Another view from the window . . oops!..I guess I did not draw the blinds up very evenly!!!

Master Bath

Or is it in the color and texture of an orchid or a fluffy monogrammed towel??

Master Bath

Master Bath

Have you guessed ??? It’s the rug!..My new Dash and Albert rug . .

~ ~ I love the beauty and quality of Dash and Albert rugs.

Master Bathroom

The editor was right . . the rug added just the perfect touch of texture, color . . .

~ ~ and warmth . . and the great part about this rug other than its beauty . .

~ ~ ~ ~ is that it is an indoor/outdoor rug . . perfect for a bathroom.

Have a wonderful day!!!

I love the color and texture your rug adds to the bathroom. Dash and Albert do have the most beautiful rugs…which reminds me, I could use a new one in my bathroom.

What a lovely bathroom you have Shirley! I have a slipper tub also, and I have to say although I like the way they look I don’t find them practical for taking baths because the top part of my body isn’t immersed in water since the tub is higher on that side than the rest. Do you find that to be an issue?

Indoor/outdoor rugs have come a long way and they’re extremely useful for bathrooms! Beautiful choice!

No, I don’t find that to be the case Doreen…my tub is pretty large and deep…my granddaughter has dubbed it as “her tub”….

It looks great Shirley!! Ok, I can sit it in the tub and watch the world go by too. As you can see I’d be happy with the porch or the tub! I’m sure if you hear any weird noises any where now you’ll think I’m lurking some where!! It’s always such a pleasure to visit with you and your gorgeous home!

Love the rug, Shirley. My master bath is pretty blah, not much color. I should really do something more. You have probably mentioned this before, but what color are your walls in the bathroom?

Love the tub, and love the rug. I want both. My last house had a wonderful soaking tub on queen ann legs. Hubby says I can reorder one for the new house IF I want to deal with a war zone bathroom for who knows how long! Ha! Still thinking. Sheila

I love the Dash & Albert indoor/outdoor rugs. I have the same pattern, in green, in our keeping room. It’s awaiting a good spraying before I put it back down. (Can you say pet accident? But that’s what I love about an indoor/outdoor rug. So easy to clean!)

Love all the special touches in your bathroom, and I’m so proud of you for your magazine photo shoot. How exciting. Can’t wait to see the issue.
