Coastal Charm Feature – Shop Talk Series

Happy Friday everyone!….

I am extremely flattered that I was asked by Linda from Coastal Charm . . .

~ ~ if I would share my antique booth with her readers as part of her Shop Talk Series.

~ ~ ~ ~ and today is the day that I am appearing at Coastal Charm !

Here are some sneak peeks!!

Antique Booth

A mix of antique, vintage, new, and gently used items.

So I hope you hop on over to Linda’s today at Coastal Charm . .

~ ~ to see the remainder of my booth!!!

Thanks again Linda for featuring me today!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And just a note and shout out to my sister Betty Ann ~ ~

Now, let’s cue the theme song to “Stand and Deliver”

I have always been so proud of her accomplishments as an educator.

She has won many awards to include Teacher of the Year in her school district…

~ ~ for her role in taking a “D” rated school which she was transferred to . . .

~ ~ ~ ~ to an “A” rating in a very short time.

Her “non-gifted” students scored the highest test scores in the district. . .

~ ~ beating out the “gifted class” in a magnet school.

Betty Ann just notified me that a wonderful ex-student of hers ~ ~

~ ~ who has stated that she was his favorite teacher . . . .

~ ~ ~ ~ just got picked #5 in the first round of the NFL Draft ~ ~ Khalil Mack.

Congrats to Khalil and to the teacher who has inspired him!

This shows that with hard work and determination, your dreams can come true. . .

~ ~ and as the school year comes slowly to an end, remember to THANK A TEACHER !

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I wish you all a most beautiful weekend and Happy Mother’s Day!!!

Very cute booth and teachers aren’t honored or paid enough. My grandmother taught first grade for 30 years. How cool that one of her students was drafted in the NFL.

What fun! I’m popping over to check it out AND what fun news! Your sister sounds like the best kind of teacher out there ( I had a couple!) . Congratulations to her former student. A very big thank you to your sister and all the teachers who love and teach our children!
Happy Mother’s Day to you too!

I am sure every teacher in this country has a “story of inspiration” of a student that they touched and inspired…The pay is not stellar, but the rewards are priceless!

A beautiful tribute to your sister! Our teachers are normally not recognized as they should be and they’re certainly not paid enough. Having a student(s) accomplish great things is a wonderful honor!

Your shop looks beautiful! Of course, I would not expect anything less from you…your home is gorgeous.

    Shirley,
It’s so nice to have you over at Shop Talk today. Please tell Betty Ann congrats on all her hard work and yes…the rewards are priceless! Both of my daughters are teachers and I when I saw one of my daughters hug and tell every one of her students that she loved them before they left the classroom…I was one very proud mama! She is so lucky that she works in a school (public) that allows her to do this.

    Blessings,
    Linda

My sister is retired now….however, her and her hubby continue their great work and generosity by providing College Scholarships in their hometown each year in memory of their beloved son.

    Hi Shirley,
I just got back from visiting your feature at Linda’s. Your booth is so charming and beautiful. Love that white chair and oh my that garden hat is killer. I have never seen one with the top cut out like that. How cute it that. I would fuss with that and probably put a ring of flowers around it. So cute.

Okay Shirley, how did I miss the fact that you have a Booth!?! That explains why you don’t need as much storage as I would think! If anyone needs a booth, it’s you…cause you have such a wonderful way with style that others should benefit. Happy Mothers Day!

    Shirley,
AGAIN I am completely amazed at everything you get done in a day! An antiques booth, too?!? And an amazing one, I might add! It’s a good thing I don’t live close to you or I would go broke…

Congratulations to your sister and her former student. That truly is the best reward of teaching–all the lives you get to touch and those that influence your own. 🙂 You are a teacher in your own right, Shirley. I learn so much from you! Thanks for all the inspiration!
