Lucketts 2014 Spring Market, Part Two

I was asked what I enjoyed the most about going to the Lucketts Spring Market…

~ ~ and my answer (according to the “questioner”) was indicative of me . .

Seeing and being with great friends of course . . . and then the shopping!

However, of the thousands of people attending . . shopping was definitely primary!!!

Lucketts 2014 Spring Market

Kim (Savvy Southern Style) and I for some reason thought that the Market opened at 9 a.m.

~ ~ so with hubbies in tow, we left our hotel at 7:15 a.m. to drive to Lucketts.

We got a great parking spot. In the Community Center . .

~ ~ much of the grass parking was under water from the almost 5 inches of rain they received.

So after 2 hours of “hanging out” before the Fair opened . . we discovered wonderful booths.

Rows and rows of booths . .

Lots of various displays . . .

And something for everyone . . . From beautiful beds . .

To magnificent doors . . .

Even the “hubbies” perused the many antiques and vintage wares . . .

I must say they were great sports!!!

Lucketts 2014 Spring Market

Beautifully appointed booths such as Kristen’s and Karen’s . . .

Was admiring the trophy lamp and chair with that gorgeous bird pattern fabric.

Great painted furniture . . .

As soon as the gates opened, many standing in line headed directly to Marian’s booth!

And after almost 5 hours of being at the Fair . . .

We found these guys . . . sitting on the bench (would that be the “husbands’ bench?) . .

~ ~ Patiently waiting for us to complete our rounds of the booths . .

At this point . . we decided that they deserved a great lunch.

It was a beautiful day of great friends and shopping. . .

~ ~ what more could you ask for!

I was so busy taking in the many beautiful things there . .

~ ~ that I realized I did not take as many photos as I should have (bad blogger) !!

Watch for some great photos of the Lucketts Fair over at Kim’s. . she took lots of pictures!

Have a most wonderful day!!!

Lovely photos – thank you for sharing. It gives an idea of the scope of Luckett’s. I went to Springfield Extravaganza, and honestly, it’s getting out of control – too big! Over 2,000 vendors!

So fun to see the fair through your eyes, Shirley. Kristen’s booth looks amazing! Apparently Sunday was a much better day as far as the parking goes at the fair.

Sounds like a great time, Shirley! Those doors are fantastic. I would have been admiring them for way too long, especially since I would have no place to use them. It looks like you had some time to scope out the booths to hit while you were waiting. I’m sure I would have come home with too much stuff!

Looks like you and Kim had a wonderful time. It’s so nice when your friends husbands get along with your husband. So many times they have nothing in common. Looking forward to seeing all the beautiful treasures that came home with you.
    Have a great week.

How fun, Shirley! Those doors are awesome! I saw a couple of them that I would love to have! The hubbies really were good sports. After 5 hours, I would have found mine in the same spot…on his cell phone! Looks like a great way to spend the day!

I think it’s great when retailers have comfortable “man chairs” available. They surely must realize that if the man is comfortable, then the lady can shop longer and spend more cash with them!!! The Macy’s here in Lee’s Summit has beautiful “man lounges” near the ladies’ dressing rooms where they can kick back in comfortable soft seating and watch TV. It’s the perfect setup!

I’m glad it didn’t rain on the day of!!! Five inches is a lot of rain!

So happy you had a good time. I just know you brought back a truck load!!! 🙂

I’m new to your blog and I loved it right a way! I have a new blog Anne’s Attic – Design. I would love it if you would take the time to check out my blog and let me know what you think. I have a long ways to go in order for it to look like yours. A new camera would help but that will come in time. Thanx XX
