Summer Gardens of a Craftsman Style Home

This past weekend . . . we were in Georgia.

Yes, for another tournament. We stayed with my brother and his wife.

My sister-in-law, Pam, definitely has a “green thumb” .

Both her indoor and outdoor plants and flowers thrive with her talents.

So I thought I would share her beautiful yard with you today.

There will be lots of photos and less “talk” . . . so sit back and enjoy . . .

~ ~ and take time to smell the roses!

Summer Garden

When you walk up to the house on the path leading from the driveway . . .

~ ~ you are greeted with beautiful flowers and the flag waving in the breeze.

Summer Garden

Summer Garden

Summer Garden

You will notice Rosemary plants planted alongside the flowers . . .

~ ~ serves a dual purpose . . great fragrance and deer repellent!!

Summer Gardens

Summer Gardens

Summer Garden

I could not get too close to this Knock Out Rose bush . . .

~ ~ as the noise was almost deafening from the bees!!!

Summer Gardens

Summer Garden

But then again. . . bees were everywhere on these beautiful flowers of summer.

Summer Garden

As you can see . . . “it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood” . .

Summer Garden

I love this magnificent stone in their landscape.

Summer Garden

The front porch also is filled with beautiful flowers and hanging baskets.

Summer Garden

Summer Garden

There are many little details in her gardens such as this cute fish in the gutter spout.

Summer Garden

Here is a little peek into the gardens of her back yard . . . for another day . .

Summer Garden

As you can see from these images of Pam’s garden . . .

~ ~ her love for gardening shows in her landscape . . . her canvas!!

Hoping you are doing what you love today . . . creating your own canvas.

Have a wonderful summer day!

WOW! That yard is beautiful. Does she do this all by herself or does she have yard help? Would love to see the inside of her house, maybe next time you visit???

Very pretty flowers, Pam. She does have a green thumb with a little help from her friends….the bees. They pollenate the plants. Just don’t get too close while they’re working their magic.

Pam really knows how to lay it out! I love that fish at the end of the downspout. I have to try and find one of those bad boys!!! I just hate the way our look, and having whimsical little dudes like that would make it so much more tolerable!

I didn’t know rosemary acts as deer repellant! Hmmmmm…I plant it for cooking and the wonderful fragrance. Of course, it’s not a perennial in this part of the country, so it wouldn’t be around when needed most in winter. Those deer just come outta nowhere all winter long around here!

Beautiful landscaping! Pam should be very proud of her handiwork!
