Many of you have seen my great ironstone finds while shopping in Pennsylvania with Mary Alice.
I placed two of the tureens on a table in the great room . . .
~ ~ and incorporated the cute vintage chippy stool that I found at Mary Alice’s booth at Rust & Feathers.
These photos were taken in the morning when the sun streams through the windows . . .
~ ~ spreading beautiful colors from the Swarovski crystals that hang in the windows.
These tureens make me smile . . . is it because they are so pretty . . .
~ ~ or is it because I got a great deal !!! . . . I think both!
The vintage stool is perfect for showcasing and creating different levels . . .
Then you wonder about the “little one” who used this stool.
I found a chamber pot with the lid exactly like the one that I use as a planter.
While strolling the aisles of the antique mall (Melville Trading, Mebane,NC) where I have a booth. . .
~ ~ I found this cute ironstone little mortar and pestle. Marked Germany on the bottom.
Do you tend to start or increase a collection when coming across some glorious finds and bargains?
I do . . Enter the need for therapy!
Have a glorious day!!!

Shirley, these pieces look stunning on your beautiful shelf! I love collections of ironstone and your collection is fabulous! Your vintage stool is a great accessory for this vignette. I just purchased a vintage milking stool and you have given me a great idea how to use it. Have a wonderful week!
As always your vignette is beautiful, Shirley. Love the little chippy stool. So sweet to think of the little one who used it. ๐
Have a wonderful day!

Simply beautiful, Shirley!! I love these tureens. I feel the need for “therapy”!
Shirley, I’m so jealous! I would LOVE to go shopping with either you OR Mary Alice (or both-ha!) Your ironstone pieces are just gorgeous, and the sweet stool is perfect! Love all the white ๐

LOVE your ironstone and the plates on the wall! Where did you find them?
Found the Spode Rosebud Chintz plates years ago at various antique shops and eBay…ironstone found in an antique shop in Lemoyne, PA..
I love those tureens and the way you have arranged disparate pieces to come together in such a pleasing way. I also love the hurrican lantern and the beautiful sprigs of lavender…well, I guess I just love the whole thing ๐
By the way, my husband was with GE for 46 years and we moved around quite a bit. We were in Asheboro NC for four years. That is not too far from Mebane. It is a small world.
You always find the best the best stuff. I wish I could shop with you. Is there any markings that denote or make a piece stoneware? I purchased a beautiful white pitcher at an estate sale that may or may not be stoneware. I tried to google the marking at the bottom but nothing came up.
What an attractive display to welcome people into your great room. Love the ironstone and your use of the stepping stool. I’m on the hunt for one now: hadn’t thought of using one as part of a display: thank you for the inspiration! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Very nice!
Blessings,
Cindy
Save a seat in therapy for me too Shirley lol!! When I find something I really like I just can’t help myself! Beautiful vignette…Beautiful photos!!
Gorgeous vignette and that little bench is so adorable and nicely worn.

Love the little stool!!
You find the best ironstone! Love that chippy stool too.
LOVE the ironstone! So pretty! I also love the little stool that you used to raise your display, and am thinking that maybe I could make something similar. Is there any chance I could ask you for the measurements please?
Warm regards
Judi in the UK
Looking good and I love that little stool.
Have you gotten any of my comments? This is 3rd one but I dont see them
YOu have an eye for great buys! LOVE that ironstone!!!
Those tureens are beautiful, Shirley! Even though I’ve basically filled the area above my kitchen cabinets with several, I still keep an eye out when I’m at a flea market or thrift store. Of course, I haven’t found one since I “completed” the collection in the kitchen. I love that little bunny sitting on your shelf, too. Now that is a collection I’ve had for years that just keeps multiplying! There are bunnies in every room in our house!
I love it all!!! I’ve increased my ironstone collection for myself while shopping for my shop. LOVE your tureens. You’ve put together some beautiful vignettes!
Roselle
Your ironstone collection looks so pretty grouped together amongst the lavender. I love the little stools you used too.
Shirley, you put together the most wonderful vignette with all of your great finds!!! You are so sweet to mention my shop…Thank You!!!
Mary Alice
Beautiful pieces, Shirley! I love ironstone, but have tried to limit myself to creamers. Maybe that will keep me under control? ๐
You are SOOOO good at vignettes, I need some lessons from you. I love all your new ironstone. I, too, am in need of therapy….for several things!!!!!
How could you resist? The ironstone gods were smiling on you!

What a great idea… Changes the look completely… Love it…
I knew it. You had a vision at the shop on the location and arrangement of your beautiful new pieces. And the crystal prism colors were not overlooked! I just love this vignette.
Love your vignette Shirley! Still on the hunt for awesome finds here.
