What goes well with pumpkins….well Cheetah of course!
On a trip to Pottery Barn I saw their new Fall line of pillows which included their “Cheetah” pillow cover.
I thought that this would be a great addition to my chair in the great room.
For the Fall, I decided to keep the gold throw on the chair . . .
~ ~ as it coordinates well with the vignette of gold pumpkins on the table.
Notice the velvet leopard pumpkin?….that was a gift from my sister last year.
Placed my “Coming Home” book on top of my wood column pedestal. . .
as it reminds me of “Going Home” for Thanksgiving.
The ceramic pumpkins were a purchase from one of my favorite stores years ago . . .
~ ~ I loved that they were gold and brown, rather than the typical orange or white.
I had apples in the ironstone tureen . . .
~ ~ decided to change them out to the pears and orange velvet pumpkin . . .
~ ~ ~ as it coordinated well with the gold and orange tones on the table.
I believe this ironstone tureen will be a “staple” on this table . . .
~ ~ to fill with seasonal pretties.
Another Fall Vignette done . . . planning to have them all created by October . . .
~ ~ as September and October are filled with many activities and lots of company.
I am happy with the way this vignette turned out this year . . . here was last year’s Fall Vignette.
Next week the temps will be dropping to the high 70’s to the low 80’s . . . how great is that?…
So that means a possible trip to the Farmers Market . . .
~ ~ to see if they have those wonderful pumpkins and mums . . .
~ ~ ~ ~ that I purchased last year for the inside of the house and all of the porches.
And speaking of porches . . .

It all looks very pretty ,Shirley. As much as I have resisted, I may have to begin my fall decorating this weekend. Today’s high is only predicted to reach 65 degrees!
Very pretty fall vignette and I love the cheetah pillow. I have been eyeing those, too. Yes, I need to start getting mums, too and I hope we cool down soon and get some lower humidity. So sticky right now.

Shirley, you always have the best vignettes! I really love your velvet pumpkins! Your tray is a lovely anchor for your Fall vignette and the gold pumpkins are so pretty. I’m past ready for some cooler weather! Our forecast is after September 17th we should see some seasonal changes. I just cannot keep real pumpkins and Mums outside in this heat. Great job on adding fall to your living room!

BEEEutiful! LOVE the cheetah, in fact I bought some leopard pillow covers to use with my Fall pillows too!!! Great minds…..I bought them months ago when I saw them at Lowes of all places:) Love the softness of the golden pumpkins too. Did you save the dried sunflowers? So pretty! Shirley, May I ask where you got the white pumpkin with the lid? I think you have a small mum in it. It is really cute and I would love to get one!
Love all your photos. Although I am in Western NY and I noticed that most are living in the south, the temp today is in the high 80s and humid and has been like this all week. Some rain, but humid! Although I’m sure that would be a relief for others, we are loving it here, but it won’t last forever. They are talking 70s next week. Not looking forward to winter!

It’s wonderful to see your home all decked out for fall! It’s still hot as blue blazes here, and no one seems to be drifting into that fall mode. Maybe this weekend when it’s predicted to cool way down. I know I would love to be able to feel that wonderful feeling that comes along with cool temps, fireplace and grill smoke in the air, and apple cider!
With that book “Coming Home” I now have Kenny Loggins’ “Celebrate Me Home” all in my head!!!!!!!! I guess I’d better turn on my mr3 player and get my fill of it so it will leave my brain! 🙂
