In my last post, I revealed a “sneak peek” of some ceramic pumpkins . . .
~ ~ that I bought on clearance at the Pottery Barn Outlet.
I found a pair of wooden candlesticks that I have had since the 70’s . . . yes the 70’s.
I covet them as I saved and saved for them buying one candlestick, then the other, then the glass votives . . .
~ ~ many of you most likely do not remember the store “Wicks and Sticks”.
I thought these candlesticks would go well as they coordinate with the brown stems.
I secured the pumpkins to the candlesticks by using Elmer’s tacky strips . . similar to poster putty.
I added this copper “berry basket” to the pumpkin duo . . .
~ ~ I purchased this pretty copper piece years ago at a sponsored “Country Living” Craft Fair in Palm Beach.
These fairs were always wonderful as they were “juried artisans”.
I used to have the artisan’s card at the bottom of the basket, but threw it away years ago…
~ ~ should have kept it…he did beautiful work . . . As you can see, I bought this in 1990.
When going to my booth the other day, I saw that my booth partner Julie added some items to the booth . . .
~ ~ which included this dough bowl . . . I picked it up and noted how cute is was . . . $12.00 ??? . . SOLD !!!!
Decided to go with a pretty simple vignette for Fall on this table . .
Adding just a bit more Fall decor to this room and that should do it.
Today I am sequestering myself in the garage to paint, paint, paint. . .
~ ~ so I can move on to my other projects.
Have a great day today . . . and I want to wish my good friend Kim a very Happy Birthday!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!

How pretty that setting is. Makes me want to really think fall – but then again we here in Ontario,Canada did not have too much summer to speak of.
Ok your getting me thinking about puling my fall décor out..You win:). I love the idea of the white pumpkins instead of he traditional orange. I have 3 treasured Mercury Glass Pumpkins that put on Candle sticks my buffet. I wish I could put them on my coffee table but one golden retriever tail and glass would probably not end well. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home as always xoxo
You have such a beautiful room. Don’t you just love the keepsakes that you have tresured for years. It’s all LOVERLY! Jo
I love your pumpkins on the candlesticks, Shirley! What cute idea. You also found a deal on the dough bowl; it’s perfect for your Fall apples! The apples really accent your pillows well. This is a lovely Fall vignette!

Very pretty, Shirley! I do remember Wicks and Sticks. I don’t go to the malls very much anymore, so I wouldn’t even know if they were still around or not.

I love the one I have (my grandmother’s) but it is BIG. With six children, I guess she needed a big dough bowl. 🙂 Have fun painting.

I absolutely adore your charming Autumn vignette. Using the putty to secure the ceramic pumpkins was so smart ( I am going to have to steal that tip/trick). I CANNOT believe you bought the dough bowl for $12!!! I am obsessed with finding one for my home this fall, but they are all soooooo expensive. You were very lucky. 🙂
Love all the decorations – looks really good. You always so such a great job on decorating.
Happy painting and I hope you get your project finished.
Have a great week.
