The last area to “fallify” was the mantel . . .
~ ~ however I did not want to add much fall foliage . . . just a simple vignette . . .
~ ~ ~ ~ to include the warm colors of Fall.
A bit of a departure from a past Fall Mantel.
I started with this small platter by Myott & Sons, England/Banff, that I purchased for $5.00 . . .
~ ~ in an antique shop in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Propping this plate on a column pedestal and adding the fall acorn floral picks . . .
~ ~ for a bit more color and texture.
I replaced my summer bird motif plates with these Johnson Brothers Pomona plates of the warm Fall colors.
Adding the topiaries and keeping my tall candles on the mantel . . .
Then moving on to the hearth . . .
Placed this round seagrass basket that I purchased from HomeGoods . . .
~ ~ to help hide the “black hole” of the fireplace along with the urn and basket of fall foliage.
The concrete garden finials are a permanent (well somewhat permanent) feature on my hearth . . .
~ ~ bringing a bit of the outdoors in.
I am really loving the addition of the cheetah pillow from Pottery Barn . . .
~ ~ adding more warmth to the great room and hopefully I can add more of this print to the room soon.
Fall Decor in the Great Room . . . DONE!!
Hope you all had a great weekend…mine was filled with “furniture moving” . . .
