How to Create a Holiday Touch to Ikea Faux Potted Plants

I am sure many of us have those cute Ikea faux potted plants.

The Ikea plants come in a black plastic container . . .

~ ~ that many of us slip into a decorative container.

Last year, I did a decorative wrap to the container . . .

~ ~ and placed it in a lantern. I decided to do the same to my other plants.

I used some burlap ribbon and just wrapped it around the container . . .

~ ~ securing it with hot clue.

I covered this pot with the ribbon last year and placed it in the lantern.

I love these faux plants . . . and love the price too!

I may be adding berries to the greenery to add a more festive touch.

My very first Christmas vignette for the year . . .

~ ~ I am sure it will undergo a bit a change . . . always tweaking things!

Now, we are barely into the month of November . . .

~ ~ a month when we all make more of an effort to count our blessings . . .

~ ~ ~ ~ to be THANKFUL AT HOME.

I am thankful to be a part of this party, THANKFUL AT HOME

Starting today through Wednesday . . . there will be many wonderful stories . . .

~ ~ of the blessings of family and home. Be sure to check each wonderful story out!

  24. Can you believe we had an IKEA store to open here way back in September and I STILL haven’t been there??!?!?!! I’ve been so busy with other things and my back has been so crazy that I just haven’t been able to do it. I can’t wait to get out there and explore! These are cute faux plants, and I really like the ribbon treatment you gave them. That’s something even a craft-challenged person like me could accomplish!!! 🙂

After the fundraiser this weekend, I’ll be starting on the Christmas decor around here on the lower level and working my way up. We’re doing Thanksgiving here this year, so I can’t do a whole lot on the main floor until after…unless I can figure out a way to make it blend. Workin’ on that!
