Tuesday Holiday Tidbits

Have you seen the great mantel inspiration yesterday?

If not, you can see it here along with 10 other fabulous mantels.

I have been busy like the most of you decorating and preparing for the Holidays.

I am pretty much done with just a few tweaks here and there.

Kitchen-Christmas 2014-Housepitality Designs

Working on the kitchen decorations trying to keep simplicity in mind!

The dining room table is very simple this year.

Dining Room Centerpiece-Christmas 2014-Housepitality Designs

A centerpiece mainly in a silver bowl for easy removal as we use the dining room table

every day.

Christmas Tree 2014-Housepitality Designs

The tree in the great room is up and decorated.

The packages are waiting to be wrapped and placed under the tree.

However, one must go shopping to wrap packages!……on the list this week!

Master Bedroom Christmas 2014-Housepitality Designs

The master bedroom is all dressed for a long winter’s nap . . . I only wish!

The full reveal of the bedroom will be tomorrow when I join 11 wonderful fellow bloggers . .

for the Holiday Open House tour hosted by Sherry of No Minimalist Here.

The party runs from December 10th though December 12th.

My big one fits in the breakfast room, BUT….it is bothering me alot this year! I HATE to go smaller but cest la vie, huh? I LOVE the bedding and am guessing PB? I have been SEARCHING for winter bedding for our master. Not likeing the old one anymore;):) Loved all theswe tidbits!!!

You tease, Shirley. Your great room tree is beautiful, as always. For me, it is the highlight of your Christmas home tour. Hope you get a little shopping done this week so you can adorn it with a few packages. Or you can do as I do and put a few wrapped, empty boxes under the tree!

Look at this!!! Oh, my gosh, Shirley! First of all, you have NO idea what the word “simplicity” even means, so don’t even go there! 🙂 Your whole house is rockin’ Christmas like a hurricane!!! I always love to see your trees, and this year’s do not disappoint. They are unique unto themselves and perfectly appointed…just like I would expect from a decorating diva like you!!! I also really love your dining room centerpiece. Very, very pretty! And don’t get me started on that bedding!!!!!!!!! I “NEED” that for our master bedroom!!! Please send a note of “encouragement” (translated: threat) to my husband on my behalf! 🙂

It all looks so pretty, Shirley! I love those little mittens you have around the pitcher in the kitchen. Too cute! The bedding is great. Is that PB? I really love it and I know I’ve admired it before.

All I can say is WOW. You really did a beautiful job on your decorations. It certainly isn’t simple – you really outdid yourself. It looks like a page out of decorating book. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful decorations. I would say your little sweetie picked a good tree.

    Shirley,
Your tree is beautiful, as is everything you do. But, I spotted a needlepoint pillow at the end of the bed that I would love to “pinch.” ha! Good luck with the shopping and wrapping. We have done all of the shopping and such, so I am starting the “baking” phase! I was busy last week end of the semester grading and so I am running behind on checking on my blog friends.
    Have a great week!
