Galvanized in the Sunroom

Galvanize. gal-va-nize

1. Shock or excite (someone) typically into taking action.

2. Coat (iron or steel) with a protective layer of zinc.

I was galvanized to taking action in the sunroom.

A package arrived and it was a birthday gift from my brother and sister-in-law.

This caused me to take action and do a little makeover in a corner of the sunroom.

European Creamer Can-Housepitality Designs

My Birthday gift from my brother and sister-in-law . . . A Vintage European Creamer Can

that arrived from Bambeco.

I love it. I can probably make a good assumption that my sister-in-law picked it out 🙂 (Thanks Pam!)

And I am sure that my brother gave it the thumbs up . . . or maybe he said, “what IS that?”

“Oh I know, it a golf ball container!” . . . and by the way, a little bragging on my brother. . .

~ ~ he made is 4th Hole-In-One this week!….Congrats dear brother!

You know how one new thing can cause a chain reaction of moving many things about.

I decided that I would love my new/old creamer can on the potting bench in the sunroom.

I had this galvanized flower bucket in the attic and thought that it would be a great addition to more

galvanized items on the potting bench.

I hung vintage garden tools on the handle of the bucket . . . would love to find vintage garden gloves!

I added a red vintage watering can along with red tulips from the grocery store for that pop of color.

A vintage tin scoop adding some whimsy to the pot of tulips.

My birthday gift certainly had a galvanizing affect on me! . . . I took the proper action and created a

new potting bench vignette in the sunroom!

So, have you had an opportunity to galvanize someone into taking action?

Or, do you just love all things galvanized?

I am loving all of the galvanized accessories in decorating and the additions to your sunroom are no exception. I once had a galvanized flower bucket, too but it is long gone. I do have an olive bucket holding a plant in the corner of my breakfast room, I have been galvanized to put my winter decorations away and do a little Valentine decorating, Maybe I will find something galvanized to inspire me. Hope you and Tom have a great weekend,

  23. Wow, Shirley, all of your galvanized pieces look so great together. I love how you have incorporated the red bling to make it all just stand out. I’m glad you like it, and I can see that you knew exactly what to do with it. I also like the scale with the flower sprigs hanging over the side. That really looks nice. 25. What a cool gift! I adore all things galvanized. In Maine, I selected two galvanized pendant lights and a galvanized ceiling fan for a screened porch. Speaking of Maine, I have two painted vintage watering cans like your red one – except mine are green and blue. I did a little research on them – will share one day (think I left the info in Maine). Love your sunroom 🙂
