Lavender a most sensual and calming scent, so what goes together better than love and lavender.
I have always wanted to make a wreath of lavender; however, you know how it is . . .
something on my to do list that I have never marked off . . . until now.
I decided to make a heart shaped wreath rather than your typical rounded shape for the
love of lavender theme.
I went to my local L’Occitane store and bought some bunches of lavender.
Started wiring the lavender stems on the wreath form. Starting at the bottom at an angle to shape the
bottom of the heart.
I took a while for me to figure out how to form it into a heart shape by using a round wreath form and
after tweaking it here and there, It finally got it to look like a heart.
I walked around the house with the wreath and decided that this mirror needed something pretty on it and
to add some texture and depth to the wall.
While my hubby had the heavy little giant (stairwell ladder) out . . . I decided to change out the plates
and add a smaller plate to the bottom of the sconces.
The plates are Pomona by Johnson Brothers.
Note to self: Need to buy more of the disc plate hangers!
With this lavender wreath project, it morphed into a new gallery wall vignette.
One thing leading to another!!

❤️ Lavender and
Every time you pass that wreath, you must be enveloped with the most amazing fragrance! Who doesn’t love the scent of lavender, and the fact that it’s drought tolerant is a huge plus! I wish I had an appropriate place for a front door wreath :(, but I will live vicariously through you.

It doesn’t look like my entire post posted. I love lavender and your wreath. It must have taken lots of patience and clean up. Lavender is sooo messy. Whenever we drive through Palisade, CO I make Jeff stop for me to buy a bunch from one of their fields. They are known for Colorado wines and lavender. Not a bad combination. Good job, Shirley.
LOVE your lavender heart….. I bet it smells heavenly too?!?! Looks great hung on the mirror.
Have a great week!!!
