Housepitality Designs

it's all about the hospitable home

March 18, 2015 By Shirley

More Peeks of the Guest Room Makeover

I have been searching for one more pillow to add to the bed.

I ordered one from Pottery Barn; however, the shade of green was not the right one.

In the meantime, I found a pillow that I had on hand and it seems to work well

with the new bedding.

I am still on the hunt for the perfect one though.

A simple white pillow trimmed in blue with a single blue monogram

that has the same tone of blue as in the duvet (Pottery Barn Darcy Toile).

I am on the hunt for a pillow with blues and greens . . .

I just may need to search for fabric and have one made . . . . heads up Linda!

The more I come into this room, the more I love it.

The new hardware arrived from D. Lawless Hardware and my hubby installed it right away.

Guest Room Hutch-Housepitality Designs

I so love the new hardware with the antique bronze finish that coordinates with the

front mesh panels of the doors.

Not only is the hardware beautiful, it is priced extremely reasonably!

I can now see this room coming together very soon and ready for my next guests to arrive.

Now let me see who is in the reservation book.

Note: The hardware for the hutch was provided by D. Lawless Hardware; however, every glowing word
and opinions are entirely my very own.

I like the pillows the way you have them now and love the monogrammed one. Great hardware choice. I know you will find the perfect pillows or fabric for Linda to work her magic.

Shirley, this is a gorgeous room! Your guests will feel like they are in a five star hotel in these surroundings! Your tole trays are a favorite of mine; they look wonderful with your bed and chandelier! The new hardware, on your china cabinet, is perfect with the mesh panels. You have a lovely home and a wonderful style!

Hi Shirley – I do not have a blog but spend most mornings looking at the ones I subscribe to. Yours is always a joy to look through. I would like to make reservations for that beautiful guest room. I will stay until our snow here in Ontario has completely gone away and then leave with a smile on my face because I have just stayed at a beautiful guest room in your home. Thank you – Betty from Wasaga Beach, in Ontario,Canada.
