it's all about the hospitable home

A Pretty French Print

I unpacked my treasures from our antiquing field trip to Pennsylvania this week . . .

and right away I knew where I wanted to hang a vintage French print that I purchased.

This print was tucked away in a corner and with a price tag of $12.00 and an additional 20% off.

So needless to say, it needed to come home with me.

This space is predominately white . . . showcasing ironstone pieces on white vintage stools

and me loving color, realized that this space really needed some color.

I believe the translation of this is:

View of the Vicinity of Nantes

A Paris to Chereau Street de Mathurins

The vintage blue bottles seem to pick up the blues in the print.

I added a pretty bunch of lavender for added color and texture and not to mention

a lovely scent.

For less than $10.00, this beautiful vintage print was just the thing that I needed to add some

great color and interest to this area.

Have a wonderful day! . . . I will be happily spending time outdoors working with the things that

I bought yesterday from my favorite garden center that closed about 2 years ago

and re-opened on a smaller scale as the owner was not quite ready for retirement

and loved what he did . . . and I am happy!

Your print is the perfect addition to your vignette! The blue bottle looks wonderful with it. You have some amazing pieces of ironstone in your collection. Great find and fantastic price! We have rain here today. I have my fingers crossed that it will move out quickly. I’m trying to landscape the duplex and it continues to rain. Hoping your pretty weather is on it’s way to Georgia!

What a lovely print and the price was a steal. It looks good with your white and it works so well adding a little color there.

So glad that your garden center re-opened. I have been working in my garden getting everything well established before we get the HOT HOT weather. They said 90 on Thursday and Friday. Where did our Winter and Spring go to. Stop by mt latest post and see what is blooming in my garden. The nasturtiums have taken over, so I have to thin them out before they smother my iris.

Have a great day in the garden and love your new print.
