Once upon a time there were two ladies who love to shop for antiques . . .
just love the thrill of the hunt.
Many times when these ladies find something that they both like,
they often say to each other, “no you take it, no you take it”
but in this case, the other Fair Lady spotted these beauties first,
in a basket tucked in a corner on the floor and they were the perfect items for her home.
They looked beautiful in this Fair Lady’s home.
Did I whine each time I saw them? . . . Yes, subtly that is.
And, THIS fair lady always threatened to bring a big purse and when she was not looking . . .
maybe she wouldn’t miss them!
But if I had them, I knew I would miss them,
so I just left my big purse in the car. Cue the sad face looks.
Until one day, when the Fair Lady decided to makeover the room
in which the sconces were in.
My sad face haunted the Fair Lady.
The Fair Lady is not only a very fair lady but a magnificent decorator and stylist.
She knew just where she wanted these sconces to end up.
Why on my antique shutters in the dining room of course!
I was looking for just the right thing to add some bling to the shutters.
How to embellish antique shutters . . . and this is how I did it.
And the Fair Lady was right . . . they are the perfect thing for my shutters!!!
It is always great to have a Fair Lady who has your back! . . . and a pair of gorgeous sconces!
Audrey Hepburn would approve too!
Have a wonderful day!
I will be admiring my newly embellished shutters while watching Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady!
My antique shutters with the beautiful sconces are “Oh So Loverly”
