There was a voice in the background . . . “you just can’t leave it alone!”
That said with a smile of course!
I am joining 9 of some of my very favorite fellow bloggers today for a Shades of Spring Open House party!
Today, I am presenting a bit of another Spring makeover in the master bedroom.
Yes, I did a change in the master bedroom from Winter to Spring
just a couple of months ago . . . but that was a couple of months ago.
I wanted a little more light and bright with more peaches in color than blues.
So with my Pottery Barn rewards in my purse, I proceeded to the store.
All of the pillows and shams are from Pottery Barn.
I had most of them already with the exception of the shams that match the bedding
and the new accent pillow, Adana Embroidered Pillow Cover.
The bedding is called Felicity by Pottery Barn.
Back in the late 80’s early 90’s, I did use a some peaches and blues.
Now it has come full circle . . . for me, with the help of obtaining that peach of a sofa!
I love house plants . . . I added some new ones in the room.
This kalanchoe was in the sunroom and within the last couple of weeks it has beautifully bloomed.
I love the reflections of the room in this tall standing mirror.
It is now showing the birdcage on my dresser. I am looking for something to replace it.
As you can see my room is pretty darn traditional….furnishings gathered over many, many
years of marriage!
I try to keep it current with trendier and lighter bedding and accessories
and maybe some day I can decide what I want to do in this room without some resistance.:)
And here is the culprit that has me combining peaches with the blues.
This peach of a sofa!
A great place to sit and relax, that is when I find 5 minutes to do that!
Thanks for visiting me today to view my new Spring Bedroom Makeover.
And now it is time for you to gain some great Spring Inspiration from the following 9 participating
ladies to show you how you can gain some great Spring ideas for your home both inside and out!
And thanks to Pamela of From My Front Porch to Yours for being a great hostess of the Open House Party!

Shirley, your bedroom is always gorgeous! I LOVE the peach tones, especially. I used peach with “seafoam” green in the 90s and loved every minute of it. The pastels are really back in a big way, so I’m loving it. Love your duvet fabric too. So grand and beautiful!
Shirley your master has always been one of my favorites. Isn’t it funny how our hubbies resist changing outer bedroom furniture. I have been wanting to do the sam in ours because after several moves it is not that great but Mr. Front Porch refuses because we hunted for years for it and it was one of our very first big furniture purchases. Everything looks so beautiful and lucky you for Pottery Barn rewards! I wish there was one also by. I am sure I would frequent it all the time. Thank you for being a part of the blog hop my friend! Have a great Monday.
Love, love, love the new bedding and that front pillow is such a nice bold pop of color. Beautiful pattern mixing as you always do. You have such a gorgeous sanctuary!
I love your “little voice!” It makes me feel better that I’m not the only one who has one of those! LOL Your Spring bedroom is gorgeous, Shirley .. I absolutely love the new bedding from Pottery Barn!! The colors are so “happy” and there are so many in that print to play with (especially that gorgeous coral you zoned in on)! Your bedroom is always nothing short of magazine worthy! Happy to party with you today, my friend.
Hi Shirley, your room is gorgeous. Yes, color has come full circle. Love the combo of color with pattern you choose from Pottery Barn. Can’t beat those rewards!! Such an inviting and restful room.
I love the TK painting over your bed too.
Everything is pulled together perfectly. Great inspiration.
Have a wonderful week!

I had to chuckle to myself when you mentioned the peach and blue, as I did those tones too in the ’80’s and am fond of them again! Your room is so lovely Shirley!
Love your new Spring bedding Shirley and I love the mix of pillows!! I think your peach sofa is so pretty! Have a great week!
Very pretty and fresh. I love your new Adana pillow cover. I’m surprised Tom recognizes home when he returns from a business trip! You change the bedding so often.
I love the peaches and blues together. The pillows are beautiful.
Hi Shirley, beautiful as always. Love the touches of peach to break up the blue. I just completed and shared my makeover, today I’m going shopping for another color to add to my sea of blue. Wish me luck. fondly ~lynne~
I love that coral color you brought into your room! I heard that is a new popular color this year. I love the embroidered pillow you found at Pottery Barn too. It’s the perfect accent with your bedding. Your room looks very put together.

I used peaches and blues too in the 80’s! It was a big trend with my friends too. I also LOVE your traditiobnal bedroom furnishings, they are so elegant and tasteful to me. The bedding is gorgeous. Funny, I went to do my post for today last night and my computer would NOT upload my pictures and Joe was WAY too tired to try so he has spent ALL MORNING fixing the problem. NOW, I will do the post for tomorrow and it is OUR master, done for Spring;):) Have a beautiful day. Are you headed this way soon????
Shirley love seeing your master. Pretty combinations. You have a wonderful ceiling
Cindy

Your spring colors are beautiful that you chose. Looks great as usual. That traditional bedroom furniture is CLASSIC. Great taste in décor.
I’m into coral lately and I’m loving how you used it with the blue in your room, and the prints and patterns you mixed are fabulous!
The way you incorporated so much color in this space makes me so happy! It is bright, fun, and just a little unexpected. The perfect mixture of traditional and fresh. This look screams “home” to me. Thank you for sharing, I’m feeling inspired to add more color to my home now!
I’m smiling because I had peach and seafoam green in the 80’s. Your bedroom is beautiful! Your printed pillows are such a lovely touch for Spring! I love your sofa and this area is so inviting! I would love to curl up here with a cup of coffee and good book! Your chandelier is one of my favorite accents in your room. You have a special gift for design and creating warm inviting spaces!

Everything looks absolutely beautiful Shirley!!
So pretty and relaxing Shirley and all the prettier with contrast of the dark wood! I love the peach accents inspired by your ‘peach of a sofa’! I’m past due a trip to Pottery Barn and have a gift card burning a whole in my pocket 🙂
Your bedroom is so beautiful Shirley! It looks like one of the rooms at the Hamilton Turner Inn in Savannah!
Very beautiful. I love all the details; it feels like a very high end bed and breakfast. Love it! The gold lamp on the bedside table is amazing!
Such an inviting retreat! I’m with Ron and Amy, though–what’s the story on those beautiful bedside lamps? LOVE!
