Tone on Tone

Tone on Tone . . . I love that look

as it is so serene, classic, and exquisite.

Well that certainly defines a very special blogger who has an over the top

exquisite shop and blog.

Have you guessed yet?

Tone on Tone-Housepitality Designs

Yes, I visited Loi at his shop Tone on Tone in Bethesda, Maryland.

I gasped as I entered his shop.

When he realized who I was, there were lots of hugs!

I love how Loi adds the perfect compliment of color.

Can you see that piece in the mirror?

I was only armed with my iPhone so some of the things I wanted to photograph

had the backdrop of the large windows, so it was a little difficult to get a good picture.

I took this picture from the side to show you how fabulous his topiaries are . . .

but then again, if you follow Loi’s blog, Tone on Tone you know how breathtaking his topiaries are.

He definitely has a green thumb!

A REALLY GREEN THUMB!!!

Another topiary . . . and another fabulous Mora Clock.

If you are looking for one, he has quite a few to choose from and they are flawless.

The shop is quite large and every piece is displayed impeccably.

I immediately was drawn to this vignette of magnificent matching chests and light sconces.

Love those scones!

And, honey, if you are reading this, remember we have an anniversary coming up

a monumental one too! 🙂

So if you are in the vicinity of Bethesda, Maryland,

Loi’s shop, Tone On Tone, is a must on your list to visit!

As you can see from the reflection in the glass, it was a gorgeous day.

A gorgeous day to visit a gorgeous shop and the fabulously talented and incredible Loi!

I cannot wait to see home featured in Martha Stewart magazine!

Me and Loi . . . don’t you just love selfies!

  16. Shirley,
Thanks for sharing this wonderful shop with us. Its a gorgeous store and I love those sconce lamps! I know you had a great time meeting Loi.

I lucked out yesterday and found a beautiful ironstone tureen (1860’s)at a local consignment shop. The owner said a lady was downsizing her ironstone collection and had put several nice pieces in consignment. I offered a price and she accepted so I felt I got a really good deal.

  17. I grew up in Potomac, Maryland, but I think I got married and moved away before he opened his beautiful shop. But I’ll definitely add it to my must-do list the next time I’m home! Hmmm, I wonder if I can fit a Mora clock in my car?!
