Housepitality Designs

it's all about the hospitable home

May 15, 2015 By Shirley

I Will Keep The Light On

OK . . . you are probably going to say . . . you are showing us another treasure?

Yes, I am! 🙂

When I was placing some things on the table

that is between the two chairs in the dining room sitting area . . .

I thought, it would be nice to have a lamp on the table.

Then it came to me, after releasing my senioritis, that I bought a lamp at the estate sale!

This lamp was in the guest house living room where the chairs were.

I thought . . . the lamp looked like it was part of the family

and I could not leave it behind. The chairs thanked me.

Brass Lamp-Housepitality Designs

A beautiful brass candlestick lamp with great patina.

Brass Lamp-Housepitality Designs

And to have such a beautiful lamp shade as its crowning glory.

Brass Lamp-Housepitality Designs

This has become my new place to retreat and enjoy the view.

Even if it is just for 5 minutes, which is what I seem to have lately.

And when the sun sets each day, the lamp will help me remember that someone else happily

kept the light on for their guests.

That is such a pretty vignette and the lamp just makes it better. You know I adore lamps and would have one in every spot if I could. I bet that spot is so cozy at night. Have a fabulous weekend!

LED light panels can be used on standard ceiling systems to replace out-of-date fluorescent fixtures, as feature lights, and even on walls. They also offer a clean finish, perfect for a modern space and are low maintenance, dust-free, and most importantly have a much lower energy consumption rate, and have a longer lifespan than traditional light bulbs.
