If there is one thing you can count on is Change
and Change is coming…
Summer will soon give way to the vibrancy and crispness of Fall for many of us.
Change is good, or at least inevitable.
Some changes may be hard, but sliding into Fall is never a difficult one for me.
While I love all things summer (with the exception of the intense heat)
Fall is my very favorite season. Spring holds a very close second.

Nice ideas for fall, but I’m so not ready yet. Yes, ready for cooler temps and wish they went with summer.
All so pretty. Great ideas.
The idea that I actually get to do a bit of real decorating for Fall this year, is making me giddy! The red maple, planted by the builder in our front yard, is turning and changing. I can hardly wait. My pumpkins and such are gathered in the guest room, waiting for just the right moment.
No matter what…Autumn is my favorite time of year!
What fun! Thanks for all the inspiration! Everyone’s Fall ideas are fantastic! I love your pumpkin topiary; it looks great in your wagon! You have really given me a great idea on how to decorate my wagon. Here’s to Fall coming soon! I’m past ready to leave these hot humid days we have now.
Your front porch looks fab, Shirley! Thanks for sharing some great ideas:)
Summer is my favorite season. I love the long days, flip flops, lemonade, and beach trips. On the calendar, fall begins on Sept. 21. DON’T RUSH IT! Let me have summer as long as possible.
Every image is a “study”. Oh, I wish I had your sense of design!!! Your vintage wagon is the perfect foil for pumpkins and mums and abundance! I’ve had my eye out for a vintage wagon since the first time I saw this… but no luck yet!!! LOVE your porch! Beautifully done… as usual!
So many beautiful ideas!!!! I can’t wait for fall to arrive, I am so tired of the extreme heat!!! I guess that is why God created seasons….he knew we would get tired of all of them eventually?!?! LOL!!!!

Hi Shirley,
We just got summer here in Illinois so I am not thinking fall just yet but I know I am behind with all the fall decor coming out. Love your vintage little wagon. Soooooo sweet.
Have a great new week.
Kris
I am so inspired and so ready!
Shirley,
I love fall, too! This post made my heart SIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG!

Oh Shirley, what a wonderful post. I have been wanting to sort through my Fall decorations. But, I have been so busy celebrating my 80th Birthday for the last two weeks that I need to get back on schedule LOL.
Fall is my favorite time of the year and you have so many great ideas on this post. I am checking out all the bloggers. I really loved your porch last year, so can hardly wait to see what you do.
Stop by my last post and see Shaun and my little sweetie, although she isn’t little anymore. Guess I should say young lady.
Have a wonderful week.
Mary
Awesome ideas, but it’s still summer and I want it to last much longer:-)
Greetings:-)
what a beautiful blog, Shirley. Mother and I surely enjoyed all of the dazzling pictures of Fall. It can’t come soon enough! This summer has been blistering hot down here in Florida. Thanks for the smile you put on my face reading your words.
Fabulous Fall tips from awesome ladies … thank you! I’m ready to say goodbye to our horrible heat and hello to warm, but a little “crisp,” weather, for sure! I look forward to seeing your beautiful homes decked out for the upcoming season!
With temperatures in the high nineties everyday, I am so looking forward to autumn! Shirley, thank you for all the inspiration and great ideas! I am anticipating those cool nights and warm sunny days that autumn brings!
Blessings,
Pam
I was kind of shocked when I saw you were talking about fall…after all, it’s only Aug. 10. But I’m ready for it! Fall is my favorite too…and the heat and humidity are getting to me. Thanks for the inspiration! 😉
Great Fall Decorations. I love how your porch looked last year, waiting to see how you decorate this Fall. Love your wagon….I had an old wagon and would decorate with Fall Décor and Winter Décor. I sure hate I sold that wagon…..oh well, I will have to find another one. Love all the seasons but I really do like the warmer weather, I don’t like cold weather because I can not enjoy the outdoors as much.
Such beautiful ideas and I can’t believe it’s time to start thinking fall…amazing! Hope you’re having a great start to your week!
Can’t wait to see what you come up with this year Shirley! Your porch is always to die for.
I love autumn, but you’re gonna have to take me kickin and screamin into it this year. Summer is never long enough. I know down south it can be brutal, but we’ve had a great summer this year and I soooo want it to last.
I am, however, looking forward to seeing what you do this year on your porch. It’s always so pretty and I’m sure this year will be no exception.
Beautiful–I am SO READY for fall! I feel like every season is my favorite when it’s about to arrive, but I just adore fall. Football, soup, back to school–and of course, pumpkin everything! XO, Christy
Shirley, I’m ready for fall! Thanks for the beautiful round up and inspiration 🙂
Lovely ideas… My favorite colors too… I also like to add a dash of purple to the fall colors… You inspire me to change things up…
