Early Fall Ideas With A Little Help From My Friends

If there is one thing you can count on is Change

and Change is coming…

Summer will soon give way to the vibrancy and crispness of Fall for many of us.

Change is good, or at least inevitable.

Some changes may be hard, but sliding into Fall is never a difficult one for me.

While I love all things summer (with the exception of the intense heat)

Fall is my very favorite season. Spring holds a very close second.

To help ease you into Fall

my wonderful friends and I have put together some of our favorite Fall ideas and projects.

We are sharing them with you here to help you prepare for the Fall season to come.

To stir up thoughts of pumpkins, crisp air, mums, and all the beauty and bounty of Fall.

Let’s get started on the porch with Yvonne of StoneGable

Yvonne’s porch evokes all that is Fall ~ pumpkins, mums,

a cozy plaid throw and more.

Can’t you just picture yourself sitting out there cider in hand?

Pop over to Yvonne’s Front Porch for a closer look.

Even if you do not decorate your entire front porch or do not have a front porch,

adding a wreath welcomes Fall and your guests.

Nothing says fall decor like pumpkins!

I love topiaries of all types and creating pumpkin topiaries from heirloom pumpkins

has got to be one of my very favorite Fall things to do.

The idea that I actually get to do a bit of real decorating for Fall this year, is making me giddy! The red maple, planted by the builder in our front yard, is turning and changing. I can hardly wait. My pumpkins and such are gathered in the guest room, waiting for just the right moment.
No matter what…Autumn is my favorite time of year!

Every image is a “study”. Oh, I wish I had your sense of design!!! Your vintage wagon is the perfect foil for pumpkins and mums and abundance! I’ve had my eye out for a vintage wagon since the first time I saw this… but no luck yet!!! LOVE your porch! Beautifully done… as usual!

Oh Shirley, what a wonderful post. I have been wanting to sort through my Fall decorations. But, I have been so busy celebrating my 80th Birthday for the last two weeks that I need to get back on schedule LOL.
Fall is my favorite time of the year and you have so many great ideas on this post. I am checking out all the bloggers. I really loved your porch last year, so can hardly wait to see what you do.
Stop by my last post and see Shaun and my little sweetie, although she isn’t little anymore. Guess I should say young lady.

Great Fall Decorations. I love how your porch looked last year, waiting to see how you decorate this Fall. Love your wagon….I had an old wagon and would decorate with Fall Décor and Winter Décor. I sure hate I sold that wagon…..oh well, I will have to find another one. Love all the seasons but I really do like the warmer weather, I don’t like cold weather because I can not enjoy the outdoors as much.

I love autumn, but you’re gonna have to take me kickin and screamin into it this year. Summer is never long enough. I know down south it can be brutal, but we’ve had a great summer this year and I soooo want it to last.

I am, however, looking forward to seeing what you do this year on your porch. It’s always so pretty and I’m sure this year will be no exception.
