A super cute DIY no sew lamp shade was on the agenda yesterday.
After my sewing group left my house after a day of conversation, food, laughs and not much sewing,
my granddaughter and I started on our “no-sew project” for her room.
I had some fabric scraps leftover from a project in her room
that were screaming to be used and I came up with the idea
of embellishing her lamp shade.
We are calling this DIY No Sew Lampshade, Shabby Cute.
Want to know how we did this?
Well, you start with the lampshade and lots of fabric strips.
I was not too precise on the cuts as we wanted a shabby and not so perfect look.
I cut the strips long enough to be able to tie the strip together at the top of the shade
and leave enough to have long enough streamers from the knot.
And here is my very adorable assistant!
This lampshade will be going into her room that I have been slowly working on for months!
By the time this project was finished, we lost our natural light,
so on went the lamp with its new shade.
Love the way this DIY No Sew Lampshade turned out.
So here you have it . . . the Shabby Cute DIY No Sew Lampshade.
We love our “no sew” projects!
Have a most wonderful weekend!
My assistant and I will be working on her room this weekend
and hopefully bringing you a reveal next week!

How adorable! I love that fabric pattern. This little lampshade really makes the space special.

Very cute lampshade! Looks like her room is really shaping up. She’s a cutie. I so enjoyed having a cute bedroom for our granddaughter after having 3 grandsons. Now she’s a senior in high school. She still has a room at my house, but it’s not a cute little girls’ room anymore.
Shirley the lamp shade is darling. What a fun project for you and your little grand. She is really growing into a lovely girl. Have a awesome weekend. Jo

Your granddaughter is adorable. The lamp shade looks great. I am going to have to try that on a couple of mine in the master bedroom. Lamp shades are almost as expensive as lamps.
Hope your having a great weekend with your little cutie.
