Last week, I was on the hunt for some items that would go well in my sweetie’s room
a.k.a. sweet granddaughter’s room.
She seems to have gravitated to the theme of birds and flowers and a crown or two.
I found one sweet little birdcage at a very great price.
So I thought, hmmmm . . . should I hang birdcages in her room?
I asked the shop owner if she knew of any other small birdcages among the booths.
She led me to a booth and under a table was a bamboo birdcage.
I thought to myself, well, this truly is not going to work in her room.
Maybe I should paint it white?
This birdcage was on clearance, so I thought, I could do something with this
and make it work in her room.
When I got home, I put it aside knowing it will be waiting for me to give it a facelift.
But then when I walked away, I had an epiphany.
I was not really on board with painting this pretty bamboo,
however, being that it would be going into my sweetie’s room, it was necessary to paint.
I then realized that I have some bamboo decor in the master bedroom.
I brought the bamboo birdcage into the master bedroom
and realized that it went very well with the lamps.
For added height, I grabbed a column base, and placed the birdcage on it.
I am glad that I did not paint this as I love it in its new home and kept the integrity of this piece.
I have been working on the master bedroom, bringing it into Fall.
Here’s a little peek!
Oh, and did you notice a change in the mirror over the dresser. I changed it out.
This mirror was in the hallway that leads to the guest room and it was a bit larger than the
one I had there previously….I think the scale is much better.
Have a great day! Have you started changing your home decor from Summer to Fall yet?
