It is always nice to get away for a little vacay and R & R
and some business mixed in between.
I have been away for almost 2 weeks and it was certainly a great change of pace,
but you know that saying, “there’s no place like home.”
Our trip began in Las Vegas where my hubby had a softball tournament and
his team was playing for the National Championship.
While in Vegas, we took a couple of side trips in-between and after games.
The above photo was taken at Zion National Park in Utah. Magnificent.
And here is our team after they lost the Nationals against the “West”
however, still very proud of them winning the Eastern Nationals and getting this far.
Took a side trip to Red Rock Canyon . . .
And there’s no place like home too.
So I can water my plants!
And give my neighbor a break . . . I have a lot of plants!
However, I will miss the gorgeous sunset at Big Sur.
And having dinner and a great glass of wine and taking in this amazing view.
The restaurant with this incredible view is called Nepenthe Restaurant, at Big Sur.
So glad that Kathysue of Good Life of Design recommended this amazing place!
We couldn’t get enough of the view.
Needless to say, we ate our dinner very slowly!
Yet, there’s no place like home.
So I can place fresh flowers in the house.
And place more velvet pumpkins about the house.
But what could be better . . .
Than taking bad selfies . . . of me with the Lone Cypress behind me.
No place like home, so I can add more Fall decor to the sunroom.
And keeping the blue and white for Fall.
However, I cannot say that I left my heart in San Francisco,
as our trip there was cancelled as we cut our trip short due to the impending weather
that was possibly coming our way.
But I did leave my heart with the spectacular sunsets of the California Coast.
And hopefully one day soon, I can say that I did leave my heart in San Francisco.
Happy to be home.
Worked on my front porch when I got home and will be sharing it soon!
Have a wonderful day!
