Because I was going to be away for approximately 2 weeks,
I decided not to decorate my front porch until I returned.
Well, I am back and the porch got a Fall facelift.
One of the first things that I did when we returned home
was to go to the Farmers’ Market. One of my favorite places.
I filled the car with assorted pumpkins and mums
and proceeded to fill the vintage wagon which is a staple on the porch.
The Farmers’ Market has many varieties of pumpkins and gourds.
I love the Cinderella pumpkins.
Mums and Indian corn are abundant.
Filled the vintage watering can with fall foliage.
The vintage door is new to the Fall porch decor, as I purchased it last winter.
Just another door to place a wreath on!
I added cotton to the orange burlap ribbon as I love cotton,
and so happy that cotton grows in this state . . . it is a glorious sight to see.
I thought I would carry out that theme as you will see later in the post
The left side of the porch decorated for Fall.
So let’s move over to the right side of the porch.
Where my “Welcome Friends” pumpkin has been a feature on the porch for many years.
And a blue transferware bowl filled with the beautiful colors of coleus
and creeping jenny.
Kept this side of the porch pretty simple.
And last but not least, the Fall wreaths for this year.
When I was in a shop in St. Simons Island with my friend JoAnn,
we came across a swag of fall leaves and cotton. I loved the look.
Since cotton is prevalent here in the South and harvested in late summer, early fall,
then why not couple it with fall leaves and fall foliage.
Did you notice the reflection in the glass?
It was a beautiful Carolina Blue day!
Happy Fall from my house to yours!
Have a Fabulous Fall day!!

Gorgeous Shirley! I’m lovin’ the bounty of fall in your wagon including your wonderful door! I’m pinning to my autumn inspiration board! Your wreaths are wonderful too with your accents of cotton incorporated in your swags. I’m SO glad to see Carolina Blue skies again. We desperately needed the rain here but my mums have drowned!

Shirley, your porch is beautiful! I love what you did with the cotton. The mingling of the plants and pumpkins is just perfect. Pinned. 🙂

Very pretty, Shirley. I do love those wreaths with the leaves through the cotton bolls. I stayed away from the Indian corn this year for the first time – didn’t feel like cleaning up after the squirrels, who eat mine every.single.time.every.year (and they don’t bother the pumpkins!).

Your porch decorating is always so beautiful! I just love the vintage touches, the door, wagon and oh my the iron stand that you used to display the pumpkins, how cute is that! Those mums are also stunning, have never seen them with multiple colors, so pretty! Ok, so can you come decorate my porch now! Hope you had a wonderful time on your trip out west, you were so lucky to miss all of the dreary rainy weather. This week has been gorgeous, finally!

Wonderful front porch. The fall’s bounty in the wagon is “scrumptious”. I am loving the added cotton touches. I wish I could find those around here. Great job!

Your Fall porch is beautiful, Shirley. I thought I was finished with ours, but then we bought a door knocker that led us to believe the door needed painting. Same color due to HOA rules, but fresher. So here I am at the 8th of October redoing the decorated porch.:-)

Shirley, your porch is beautiful! I adore the cart filled with Fall mums and pumpkins! The pops of orange look fantastic and add that touch of Fall to your porch. Your wreaths are wonderful- I love cotton too. My Grandparents were cotton farmers and owned a gin, so it has a special place in my heart. What a welcoming place for your guest to enter you beautiful home! Have a great weekend! We’re off to Rome to landscape the garage apartment and backyard.

Soooooo gorgeous Shirley. I love your wagon and how you filled it. I cannot have the corn or little pumpkins too many wild life creatures that would be taking that away. Love your pretty wreaths on the front doors. Everything is beautiful.

Wow, this is so gorjamous! I’m inside taking a break from stripping a chest of drawers, and there you are with that beautiful Fall porch! The farmer who rents our land planted cotton this year, so in the back of my house stretches acres of cotton. It looks like snow back there~we hardly ever get any snow that lasts long enough to stick so that’s our version of snow LOL. I must say the way you combined cotton with the leaves on those wreaths is just wonderful. And I do believe those front doors are some of the most beeyootiful I’ve ever seen. *sigh* jealous me~
Very pretty as always and I love the purple in those multicolored mums.
Your porch looks beautiful….love the wreaths on the doors….very pretty!!!!!

Your porch looks so great Shirley! I have added a small mum to mine so far, with temperatures in the high 90’s here I. California, and a regulated allotment of water, I’m going to have to wait until it cools down a little before buying some of the gorgeous large ones like you have.
