Housepitality Designs

it's all about the hospitable home

Guess Who’s Coming For Brunch

At the Haven Conference you get to see and meet so many wonderful people,

wonderful bloggers who over the years have become great friends.

For some time I wanted to have some fellow local bloggers over

and there was some discussion of this during the conference.

Then a sweet, talented blogger moved to our area.

So, how do you welcome her? Have a gathering.

Fall Brunch - Housepitality Designs

We finally came up with a date to get together.

Fall Brunch - Housepitality Designs

It was a beautiful Fall day.

Table set with flowers of Fall colors.

Fall Brunch - Housepitality Designs

A little parting gift of local soaps of Fall and Winter scents at each place setting.

Fall Brunch - Housepitality Designs

So what are the soaps tied together with?

The wired portion of a wired ribbon.

Fall Brunch Table Setting - Housepitality Designs

The place setting of Noritake Summer Estate.

Placemats and napkins by William-Sonoma.

Fall Brunch - Housepitality Designs

The placemats were rather large so I turned them lengthwise

and was a bit of a nice departure from the typical layout.

The centerpiece is a divided metal crate from Pottery Barn

with violet colored mason jars serving as containers for the flowers.

The mason jars were a beautiful gift from my friend Mary

who is famous for her magnificent tablescapes, not to mention her potting shed.

Fall Brunch - Housepitality Designs

As you can see it was a beautiful day.

I took these photos as the sun was rising and shining  through the trees.

So guess who came for Brunch!

Fall Brunch - Housepitality Designs

We were welcoming Christy of 11 Magnolia Lane

who recently relocated here from Savannah, Georgia.

I am sure you will recognized many of the lovely ladies here.

Starting from the left of the table and going around clockwise are:

Richella of Imparting Grace

Lauren of The Endearing Home

Kristen of Sophia’s Decor (watch for her newly revamped blog coming soon)

Brittany of Pretty Handy Girl

I was so happy that Brittany was able to join us soon after having major surgery.

Susan of This Makes That

And last but not least, our guest of honor, Christy of 11 Magnolia Lane

Truly a wonderful day with beautiful people.

Here is a selfie that I took…..it is obvious that I will not receive

the selfie taking award. I totally cut off part of Brittany, who is truly the “pretty”

of Pretty Handy Girl.

Fall Brunch - Housepitality Designs

Have a most beautiful day. The leaves here are quickly turning

into the glorious brilliant Fall colors. Love this time of year!!

I am joining:

The menu was simple Pinky and all dishes homemade. Served apple sausage quiche, hashbrown casserole, fruit salad and yummy pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. The cheesecake is a Paula Deen recipe. And of course, Mimosas!

Thanks again for hosting a wonderful brunch and giving me the opportunity to meet all these fabulous NC bloggers. I really had a great time and would love all your recipes too. Also, thanks for explaining what the soaps were tied with. I was very curious to where you got the thin wired ribbon. Mystery solved!

Your table setting is lovely. I did a blogger brunch and day of antiquing a few years back. There ended up being about 15 bloggers and some of their husbands. They guys went out to eat with my hubbie and then came back and watched football. Our friend Kim from Savvy Southern Style was one of the many bloggers who came. They actually came from NC, SC, Ga and Tennessee! It was so much fun.

Looks like you all had a great time!

I have a small round dining table and just the other day used placemats like you did because they were just too large otherwise, so I had to smile when I came across this post. :).
