I have not done many Fall tablescapes these days as we usually have Thanksgiving dinner
at my sister’s home. She loves to cook in her gourmet kitchen
and she can have 75 plus people in her home and it never feels crowded.
She has been known to feed that many at Thanksgiving.
I created this table a couple years ago and was vintage and Pottery Barn inspired.
Accents plates by Pottery Barn. I love that these are so versatile in using them
throughout my home in Fall decor.
I used many of the same florals and dried sunflowers and created another
Fall centerpiece using this vintage tool box.
Love the inscription on the bottom.
Other than Christmas, I love doing Fall vignettes the most.
Velvet Pumpkins sitting pretty on a cake stand.
Or in a beautiful ironstone compote.
Last year’s Fall vignette on my French buffet
and I am looking forward to creating a Christmas vignette soon.
Fall pumpkins, brilliant leaves of orange and gold, the bounty of all things Fall
is something I look forward to every year,
however, I must say, that I think my favorite thing for Fall
are the beautiful mums.
I have been away these past few days and visited my friend Mary Alice.
If you read her beautiful blog, you will know that she is moving,
a great new adventure for her.
I am the happy recipient of some of her amazing things
that she is not taking to her new home.
So stay tuned!
Have a beautiful day making memories!

Love your tablescape centerpiece, as usual everything is stunning.
Gorgeous table and vignettes Shirley~ and those plates, just stunning! We always go to my SILs but just found out that this year everyone is doing their own thing, so I am scrambling to come up with decor and a plan! I am pinning some of your lovely creations to my Thanksgiving inspiration board, thank you!
your vignettes are always so beautifully done. Where did you get those gorgeous pumpkins, love the long stems. can’t wait to see what maryalice gave you.
Shirley, you have created many lovely Fall vignettes! The colors are so bright and remind me of falling leaves. The tool box looks great decorated for Fall and your silver looks so pretty with the Spanish Moss and pumpkin. Thank you for giving us so many wonderful decorating ideas! Have a safe trip!

Your above vignettes are some of my favorite ever! I saved them to my Pinterest board for inspiration.
What wonderful fall vignette inspiration here on your blog today! I love those velvet pumpkins. I think I am going to have to break down and start a velvet pumpkin savings account so I can buy some next year!
What you do so beautifully, Shirley, is create just the right look for the space. There is much here to inspire.
Everything looks lovely! Since I don’t do much seasonal decorating myself, other than Christmas…I will decorate vicariously through you! 😉

Shirley,
Your vignettes are always stunning! I especially love those velvet pumpkins that you used on the cake plate.
Your sisters house sounds beautiful. Just wondering if you two have similar decorating styles or if you are complete opposites?
Thanks Teresa….yes, our styles are different…She loves the craftsman style and has wonderful antiques relative to the style she loves….but her main love is cooking.
Shirley, you have an elegant, magical touch with vignettes and tablescapes. Everything looks gorgeous!
Looks beautiful! I love your vintage wooden toolbox that is so cool. I have to say I am loving the fall weather in NC and not pulling out our snow stakes and winter coats is so nice!
That centerpiece is incredible!!! Absolutely gorgeous table, Shirley. Every image is gorgeous!
Such a beautiful post Shirley! I adore the way to arrange flowers, fruits and sundry in boxes, ironstone compotes, bowls, silver coffee servers and on tables. Just gorgeous!
Everything look stunning, but the velvet pumpkins are my favorite… Such good taste…
Such pretty fall inspiration Shirley! I always drool over your wonderful vintage tool box!
