Decking the halls with boughs of holly .
Well, maybe just some little boughs in a vintage ironstone creamer for now.
The boughs clipped by my hubby from our holly trees,
to enhance a vignette with the traditional red and green.
Not to mention the traditional holly for the season.
Today I bring you snipits of what I have been working on . . . decking the halls.
Enjoying my new Luminara candle.
Lots of red and black check this year.
Embellishing a lantern.
Or on a tree.
My fav tree so far!
And having fun taking out the felted wool Santas that I made years ago.
Definitely one of my favorite craft projects.
I loved making it so much that I made three of them that year . . .
no wait, make that 4 . . . I made a 4th to give away as a gift.
Lots of decking the halls going on around here.
But I can honestly say, that not one room (with the exception of the master bedroom)
is completely done. Snipits here and there.
Planning where I will place things this year. . . carrying things about the house.
And planning the various color schemes.
So stay tuned to see where things have landed . . . and trees decorated . . .
and vignettes, mantelscapes, and tablescapes created.
Fa-la-la-la-la is definitely happening here!
Have a great day filled with sparkle, hopefully from more than glitter, and fun!

How fun! Looks like you’ve got a lot done already. Love the ribbon. I haven’t started yet- going at it after turkey day. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Love the folk art feel and happy to see it back! You have such a talent for combining natural elements with what you have. I never thought of embellishing lanterns, but if lit I would make them such that the decorations can be removed or fireproof.
Great ideas throughout.
Great ideas!!
Shirley, you have certainly created anticipation of what is to come with your lovely snippets! I am such a fan of using handcrafted decor from the past and your felt Santas – how perfect! Will be waiting for the completion!
