The sunroom went Country this year with red and black checks
and the look of vintage.
It all started with this red and black checked ribbon
that I tied on a lantern.
I paired the lantern with my reproduction vintage Santa.
The Pottery Barn chalkboard pillow is used again in the sunroom this year
however, moved to the chair as it went well with the red and black checked
ribbon on the lantern next to the chair.
One of my favorite Christmas pillows, was in the Media Room last year
and thought it worked well this year in the sunroom.
It seems like I shifted many items from the Media Room to the Sunroom this year.
Which includes these W-E-L-C-O-M-E blocks and the felted wool Santas.
I made these felted wool Santas in our neighborhood Crafty Chicks group.
Has to be one of my most favorite projects.
You may have seen my little tree in the photos above.
This year’s sunroom tree was also dressed in the red and black checked ribbon.
My “Santa Moose”, a gift from my friend Linda many years ago
to remind me of our Wyoming trip of us always wanting to spot a moose,
is nestled beside the tree.
The tree topper was made from a vintage quilt.
I placed the tree in a vintage galvanized bucket as I did the year before.
The tree is on my indoor potting bench.
The vintage scale is a staple of the bench and I switched out
a succulent for a pair of vintage Charles Dickens books and a collectible lighted house.
This year’s Sunroom Christmas decor has to be my favorite.
This ornament of a “Woody with a tree, less the surfboard” just makes me smile.
This little guy approves of the Sunroom Christmas decor too.
I have a bit more Christmas decorating to do before my home tour on
Sunday, December 7th.
May you have a very Merry Christmas this year.
Filled with love, peace and joy . . .

Beautiful! I am loving that chalkboard pillow and all the gorgeous vintage touches.
Beautiful!!!
Looking good and I love your Santa collection on the old blanket chest.
All so beautiful Shirley. I am loving the plaids too. Cute little owl. Your vintage scale is great too with all the Christmas flow around. Tis the season my friend. XO
Absolutely wonderful, Shirley! I sure wish I had some of the red and black ribbon for the TV room tree!:-)
Just a darling Christmas space Shirley. Love every detail. Enjoy the season! xo

Oh I love it all. That ribbon and the matching wrapping paper is fabulous! I also love those wooden trees. Of course the felted Santas are a favorite of mine too!!! Have a beautiful day. It finally stopped raining here too, but it is FREEZING and windy:( UGH. Staying in today to clean and organize the basement, it looks like a helicopter landed down there;):) Tomorrow I will go to help decorate my neighbors tree and house. Did my best friends on Tues.
PS, where did you get the woody pillow? PB? I found a runner with a woody on the ends this year for Joe’s room downstairs and he has a woody car that we pout a tree on. I also have the red VW pillow down there and we got a car and put a tree on it too. Would love to get him the woody pillow too.
Everything looks great. Love the black and red plaid. Looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful Christmas decor.
Have a great weekend.
Mary

Just Beautiful!!!! The plaid just says Christmas….love an old fashion country Christmas. So welcome and warm!
Merry Christmas
Hi Shirley, your sunroom is one of my favorites in your house. I just know how much I love mine, and I see yours as a similar room, so comfortable, and fun place where you surround yourself with things that are ‘you’. Your Christmas decor is very homey and inviting. Happy December (and sunshine!).
Rita
The red and black check in for sunroom gives such a warm and cozy vibe to your home!! It says to me, “Come in, put your feet up, and sit awhile!” Love it!
Mary Alice
Just LOVE the Buffalo Check, it’s perfect for a Country Christmas. Your wrapping paper and Chalkboard ribbon are adorable!!
Behind with everything, love the look and the ribbon and paper are great. Cute felt Santa you made. Just finished up our home
Cindy
A room that brings Christmas smiles every which way you turn! Warm and inviting. Well done!
So cute I can’t decide what I like best (but those 3 santas on the coffee table are close!!!)
I just love it all… especially the chalkboard looking pillow and felted Santa! The plaid ribbon is beautiful, and certainly was great inspiration! ๐ ~Rhonda
I can understand why you love those felted Santas. They look like something one would find at a high end store!
I picked up some plaid ribbon the other day. It’s similar to your’s but has a bit of green in it. It’s funny how one thing can be the catalyst for an entire room. I just love your little tree in the galvanized pail, and I don’t think the plaid ribbon could have found a better home than your sunroom. Everything is just beautifully done.
Everything looks great. I love everything…my favs are the lantern and the pillow with vintage car. I was just in Belk today and they had the prettiest black and red checked scarves. Of course in KY the university of louisville fans sport red and black. ha!
I have been so busy that I have not had time to chat much…I read all of your posts and move on not taking time to fill in all of my info. I know…we just rush about! Sheila
Merry Christmas Shirley, what a fun festive sunroom. love all of your charming country touches. The ribbon is a favorite pattern of mine.
Love the vintage ribbon and the Santa’s add a s special touch…
I love all the pics, and of course it all looks gorgeous! The Charles Dickens books were a great find! WOW!
So cozy and inviting Shirley, I love anything in your sunroom! The buffalo check ribbon and wrap provides such fun inspiration!
Loving your home decorations this year! Linda
