The Twelve Days of Christmas Tree and Chalkboard Ribbon

Have you seen the new chalkboard ribbon?

The ribbon that you use a piece of chalk or chalk pen to write on?

I have used it this year for wrapping packages

and placing my messages to the recipient on the ribbon.

It has taken the place of using tags on those packages.

However, my friend Sherri chose to use it in a different way.

In her tree of The Twelve Days of Christmas.

The tone is set as soon as you enter her home.

I went over to help her place the ribbons on the tree.

The many strands of chalkboard ribbon had verses

of Christmas Carols written on it by her hubby.

The family room’s tree theme is the 12 Days of Christmas.

Of course the “Partridge in a Pear Tree” has the place of honor

at the top of the tree.

Then there are Four Calling Birds.

Seven Swans A Swimming

Now, have you noticed the really cute banners

depicting each “Day of Christmas” alongside the caroler?

Ten Lords A Leaping

These Twelve Days of Christmas Tags were gifted to us

by the lovely Christy (11 Magnolia Lane).

I have a plan for mine next year that involves Department 56.

This tree is so beautiful and so fun

and a tree of course is not just for ornaments and these carolers,

in which I have only shown half of them,

really add such a touch of whimsy and tradition to the tree.

And “Boo Boo Kitty” agrees!

Can’t believe that Christmas is only a couple of days away.

I only have a couple of things left to do and I am done!

Until tomorrow . . . Have a Merry Day!

I bought some chalk board ribbon Shirley and haven’t had a chance to play with it! It is stiff stuff though, and it looks great in your tree topper bow! I love the way you hung some of your precious carolers on your tree with the 12 days of Xmas tags! So creative! Merry Merry to you and yours!

Love Love her tree and the chalkboard ribbon. I did buy some this year but wasn’t sure how or where to place it. I do have a question, how did she anchor or secure the Byers Carolers into the tree? Wold love to do this next year for my tree. Thank you for sharing this lovely home and your lovely home as well.

Very fine pipe cleaners or floral wire around the Carolers waist secured to a branch of the tree.
