No Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire

I wish I can say that there are

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire

and Jack Frost nipping at our noses.

No, not this year!

Since moving to North Carolina from Florida almost 11 years ago,

we have always had a Christmas where we can light the fire in the fireplace.

to turn on the air conditioning!

Now, I am not a fan of huge snow storms or ice storms,

but it would be nice to have a light dusting of snow on Christmas.

So no Christmas sweaters this year for us!

It has been tradition for me each year

to includes this photo of my sweetie taken quite a few years ago,

to wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS . . . AND TO ALL A GOODNIGHT!

“And so, I’m offering this simple phrase

to kids from one to ninety two.

Although it’s been said many times, many ways

Merry Christmas to you!”

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid;

for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;

for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

  8. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Shirley. It is very warm in Connecticut also but I’m not complaining. Our son and daughter-in-law are coming in from Massachusetts so I want the driving to be safe and not icy. Enjoy the season.

  9. No matter the temperature, you have created your own white Christmas. We do have our AC running as the temps are reaching into the 80’s before dropping into the 40’s next week. Today we are off on a Disney cruise with the daughter who has 3 boys 4, 5 and 6. It will be a very different Christmas experience to say the least. Merry, merry to you and yours!
