I wish I can say that there are
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
and Jack Frost nipping at our noses.
No, not this year!
Or Yuletide Carolers in the snow. . . . dressed like Eskimos.
Since moving to North Carolina from Florida almost 11 years ago,
we have always had a Christmas where we can light the fire in the fireplace.
We are just hoping that it will not be warm enough to need
to turn on the air conditioning!
Now, I am not a fan of huge snow storms or ice storms,
but it would be nice to have a light dusting of snow on Christmas.
So that the winter birds can make tracks in the snow.
And Santa can have great snow for his sleigh.
Hoping the glow of the lanterns give a feeling of warmth
and hoping the candles do not melt! 🙂
So no Christmas sweaters this year for us!
It has been tradition for me each year
to includes this photo of my sweetie taken quite a few years ago,
to wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS . . . AND TO ALL A GOODNIGHT!
“And so, I’m offering this simple phrase
to kids from one to ninety two.
Although it’s been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you!”
“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid;
for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
