In my last post of the sunroom, I refreshed it with more red accents
using a vintage grain sack and accent pillows.
While I was refreshing the sunroom the other day, thoughts went through my mind
on how I can re-arrange the furniture.
The other day, I got up a 6 a.m., grabbed my first cup of coffee
and was just staring into the room……I set down the coffee cup and went to work.
It didn’t work . . . Tried a couple of variations,
but the best placement seems to be the original one.
When I was doing some refreshing in the guest room, I had an epiphany.
Oh “The Joy of Decorating”!
Was it the arrangement the change I wanted?
In the guest room, the colors are blue and white with the apple green,
with accents of black and white check.
Then my very favorite pattern and color of table linens came to mind
of the blue and white and apple green. Colors that I also have in the dining room.
Colors that also in the upper porch since I placed the blue and white
chinoiserie that can be seen
from every room on the main floor.
I did a little tweaking on the potting bench, adding some ironstone pieces.
I brought up the blue and white lamp that was in the guest room
to see if it would work in the room…and it did!
I will still have the pops of red in the room as the two plant stands are red
along with the bar stools at the island that is adjacent to the sunroom.
So which accent colors do you prefer? The red, as it was previous to the change . .
Or the softer side of blue and white in which I love since it ties into the
colors of the adjoining area.
I have been having difficulty with my blog lately due to DDOS attacks to my
hosting service….my site has been up and down and back down today.
I thank you all for your patience during this time and thank you for your
loyalty. Many of you have informed me when my site goes down and I appreciate that
and your concern….Hopefully things will be back to normal soon!
Hope you will have a great week!
